[size=10pt]Hi,
Today I received an email from IRCC to apply for TRV within Canada. I have a valid work permit till 2018 and my current visa is valid till May 2017. My PR application is in progress in express entry. I don't understand why IRCC sent me this email. Did anyone else received a similar email? Can people please help on this.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Folks,

First of all , Congratulations to all who already got the PPR's.

I am a CEC Inland Applicant with AOR Jan 7th , 2017 and Medicals Passed on March 13th, 2017.
Until then there is no update on my profile. Still BG status shows as Not Applicable.

When I send an email to CIC - they mentioned my file is processing at Vegreville - Alberta .

Can anyone in the group with the same status(Whose file is processing at Vegreville . Please update me.

When can we expect our BG status change ?

Anticipating for your updates.

Sincerely,
rcheli

Even i am Inland... AOR 1/29 and Med passed on 3/18 and BG is in IP from 3/18... Inland is pretty slow... But dont worry you will get it within 3-4 months from AOR date..

Inland is definitely the fastest of any stream. /roughly/ 2 months till PPR.

If your TRV is May 2017, you will have to extend it 30 days before it expires... ETA for PR is 6 months so you have received that email...
To be safe, get it extended or call CIC and talk with them..

Thanks Kumar, my WP is valid till 2018. I think for maintaining my legal status I don't really need a visa. So I was thinking of waiting for my PR. If my understanding is not correct, please do correct me. Thanks for the help again!

If you have no plans to leave Canada till your PR... Then yes you can wait without any issues...

Hi January folks,
Did anyone of you not pay RPRF upfront and paid after CIC requested? I did not pay mine upfront and wondering how much time it took for people to get PPR after paying RPRF?

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,

New to the post but I received PPR last night. The email mentioned that passport has to be valid for at least 6 months. My passport expires in 5 months and 2 weeks. Can I take the chance and just send it or do you think I should renew my passport first? I'm currently working in Canada and will do the landing as soon as possible.

CEC Inland
Aor: Jan 22, 2017
Request for additional document(CELPIP results)- February 19
Meds passed and background in progress(1):February 25
Background changed to not applicable: March 3
Background in progress(2):March 20
Ppr: March 20

Submitted RCMP and paid all the fees upfront.

Hi ,

what did you do for this situation.

My kid passport is also expiring in next 5 months. Can i renew and send after ppr?

My timeline:

ITA: January 4
AOR: January 21

hi rcheli...

so even i am CEC inland with same AOR as yours and my VISA office was Vegreville aswell. Even my medicals passed on 8th March, close to yours. And recently my file was transferred to CPC-Ottawa. And my BG status changed to : In Progress on 24th March. You should expect the status update soon.

Happy to see somebody with same inital visa office.

Dont worry..your status will change to IP very soon.

Hi Kumar

Inland applications usually take longer to get their Medicals Passed..but after they are done...rest of the process seems to be really quick...At least thats the trend what i have seen...although i am still waiting for PPR..with AOR Jan 7th.... and my medicals passed after 62 Days...

its so quite here today...seems like no updates for anybody...wake up CIC...wake up...lets have some PPR rain throughout this week :p
