Thanks very much for the reply. Yes, I went to that page and already submitted the CV of mine and my husband that CIC had requested (there was two fields that CIC created yesterday in my document lists and both were named CV/Resume and I uploaded my Cv+form-that-CIC-sent-me in one of them and my husband's in the other one and trasmitted them. Now they are changed to Uploaded).

You are almost there. Just hang in there :)

I have seen cases where after submitting the CV the BG has hit IP2 followed by PPR mail soon after

Hope for the best my friend almost there

All the best

ohhhhhh this is greattttttt to hear. So I am wondering what is the pattern of the rare cases where CIC may ask for CV? Is it for some particular field of studies? or people with academic records or something?

I feel way better now that you said other people did not go through a long process after being asked for CV. The thing is I almost couldn't find anyone on the forum who were asked for CV and I thought my case had an exceptional issue.
Hope mine will go fast too.

Two quick questions:

1) If I write an email and ask where my file is being processed, then how that information would help? What can I understand/estimate/predict from that?

2) If I order "gcms notes", then what information will I receive?

It will tell you if your file has been transferred to CPC from CIO or not. CPC means your file has passed initial stage (R10 Completeness) and transferred to CPC for further processing. Other eligibility checks, security checks and docs verification. This is probably the reason you have been asked for CV.

2) If I order "gcms notes", then what information will I receive?
GCMS is more detailed version in which you can see comments and date and actual progress. But it will take 30 days to come to you and probably you will get PR before that.

1) That information will help you to understand at what stage you are at currently. In short, we can summarize PR process as 3 stage process. 2 stages will be done at CIO office and final stage at CPC Office. You won't get complete picture with their email response. At least you can get some glimpse of the status.

2) Ordering GCMS will give more insight of your application. However, it is time consuming process and it will take at least 30 days to receive your notes. Based on your current status, I strongly believe you may get PPR before your GCMS notes in case if you are planning to order them now.

Good luck with the rest of the process. :)

Medicals passed today. I feel pretty much left behind on this forum. Unfortunately I am PNP inland.

It seems they have finally started working on applications for USA applicants. My background check status has changed from "Not Applicable" to "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check."

Medicals have still not updated, though.

Generating those notes does not take that long, but because of the demand, there is waiting queue for them. That is why those 30 days.

Thanks everyone for the replies to my question.

Everyone please let me know if you know of anyone on the whole forum who received CV request.

I want to check with them what came next and how long it took.
I really need that..

g126, you know my situation. Please share some good news about PNP inlanders that you have from this forum. Kind of feeling pretty frustrated.
