Also, how long do you think this process takes? Or what stage comes after it?

Currently at: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

It really depends (some security checks - for example if you staied in USA longer time, can alone take 3+ months). If there is no need for extensive checkes all can be done in like 3 months.

As for medical, they can either ask you, if you can travel quickly or they will simply ask for new medical. thats all.

I was in the US 6 years back, for two months (an academic visit). Also I had short stays two more times in US (one was one week conference and the other time was few days as flight transit which I used to visit a friend).

Now my Background check went IP and then NA. I am stuck in BG=NA since two weeks.

Do you think having been in US might have made my application slow?

Hey everyone, PNP Outland here,

Just curious, can anyone provide a timeline on how the process goes after a Final Decision has been made on an application, like what happens after you get PPR? When do you start packing and such?
Your PR visa will be valid until one year of your medical test date (like if you did your medical at December 15, 2016, your visa will be valid until December 14, 2017). So, you have to come before that!!

Any country less then 6 months doesnt really matter....

If they havent sent you any email after BG changed from IP to NA.. then that means you are in path of getting your PPR...

In case if get PPR while my spouse went back home and I submit both of our passports after getting my spouse's passport shipped via DHL/ Fedex, wouldnt it cause any issues in Police clearance for my spouse?
As per PC certificate norms , it should have been issued by the country after the last time you visited. Technically my spouse in not in Canada as this point.Thoughts?

what does it mean for Background like

1. your application is in process and next is BG check and
2. we are processing your BG

these both are confusing me
