Is it a good idea, to write an email to CIC or nominee officer that my nomination is going to expire this 30 June and I have not heard anything from CIC yet?

I have been stuck in "in progress" since February 19, so the possibility of it happening due exist.

I have been in IP(1) since Feb 11. I have heard that some applicants (usually not from Inida) do directly get PPR after months of waiting at IP(1). So be hopeful!

May be on Monday or Tuesday you may get PPR. Don't forget to update here on the forum. By the way, from which province did you got the nomination? And also what did your background check was showing previously? Was it Not Applicable or Your Application is in progress, next step is background check?

You should get your PPR on Monday, I am quite certain. Congrats in advance!

It' doesn't matter. You will get your PPR this week.

It varies from case to case. My BG changed to "We are processing your BG" on 19th May. Yet no PPR. So :/

I suggest you call CIC and check with them.

Similar time line here.. what does your CIC status exactly say though? Because mine says " we are processing your background check, and we will send you a message if we need more information" does that mean it can be translated to In process? Or In process is an actual status message that people see?

It means your file is under an officer review in the designated local visa office, and your PPR is fast approaching. Congrats in advance!

Also, from the status changes in my signature, can you tell me if my status change on 19th May was an IP1 or IP2

Most probably I am going to be one of those unlucky one who stuck at IP2 for months. Moved to IP2 on 30th June and no update since. Moreover, I emailed them for finding my visa office but they replied its at Ottawa. Aren't our file suppose to move to LVO? I thought my LVO will be Singapore. (FSWO from Bangladesh AOR 12th feb)? or they also process some FSWO file at Ottawa too? confused, any comments?

Although i don't have the answer to your question, however, suggest you ask this on the correct forum of Feb AOR. You will find people similar to your timelines over there and will answer appropriately.

I was hopeful that after BG is in progress dTed 23.5.17 may be within a week I will get PPR but does not seem the case so think they are having some deep checks on my case but a supportive feeling that I am not alone and there are many who are stuck with BG in IP status since long .... best of luck guys I won't call CIC just wait for the email

Agreed. My BG went to IP on 19th, however, no PPR yet. Bdw do you have extensive travel in your profile? I have for Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Oman and multiple travels between UAE and India. You never know what they are checking. How about you? Just trying to see if travel details cause a delay

Im sure travel checks do cause a delay. They might be scrutinizing your security check which can cause a bit delay. But don't worry at the end you'll get that
