I am an OPNP Applicant with AOR - 16th Jan 2017. I received Ontario settlement plan request on 24th Apr and submitted the necessary documents on 28th Apr 2017.I didn't see any changes after and my Background check changes IP1 - N/A and no changes after. Did any of the OPNP applicant receive settlement plan request like me?
My timelines are very similar to yours and no change in my status.

Called CIC again to see if I can get some details.....But same guy picked up the phone.....I got him to share some from my application but then he said I am going to say samething as the agent said you before.....and he also said he'll put a note in my application that check for updates in September.....Anyone knows what happens??? Will my application be delayed for this reason? or any bad impression on my application?? Please help

Does anyone know what's the difference between criminality check & security check? I just called CIC and they informed me that criminality is passed and security check is not started..
Criminal is based on the criminal record that you submit either from RCMP or your home country. Security is something else that they need to cross reference other department. In detail, not sure what they check

Hey folks,

Since I didn't see any landing threads specifically focused for folks planning to head to Canada in September, I went ahead and created one here (also features a WhatsApp Group as well).

Figured that for folks who are still planning, it would be good to pool resources. For folks who plan to join later, you're not allowed! Just kidding, of course you're allowed - it'd be useful for you as well.

Will be cross posting to other threads as well, since they'll most likely have similar plans and the timelines would line up as well.

I have got my GCMS notes, it was quite old (over 5 weeks old when I received it) , and it showed that they haven't touched my profile for around 3 whole months now.

I called them and ask if they have received my Addition document, they said the my profile hasn't been updated. It could mean that either they haven't received it, or they have received it but no one at IRCC has manually updated it in my profile yet.

Hello Folks,
Does anybody know that how many days it will take after any inquiry to employer ?? Because it's been 18 days since my employer got call from officer and asked for the reference letter which was provided to the officer on the same day......since then no update in profile.....I am Feb 01 2017 CEC Outland applicant......Seniors pl reply.....

Does it work tho? DO they attach missing documents?

Yes, I submitted my WES evaluation which i forgot to include and it was attached to my file. Confirmed by calling CIC

Two pages of my GCMS notes are withheld due to "22(1) (b) of the privacy act" does anyone know what this means?

Any information under the privacy act is referenced as personal information. If you would like to access that information, you would have to make a request under the privacy act. This is totally free as well.

But the subsection states:
22 (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any personal information requested under subsection 12(1)
  • (b) the disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to be injurious to the enforcement of any law of Canada or a province or the conduct of lawful investigations, including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, any such information
    • (i) relating to the existence or nature of a particular investigation,

    • (ii) that would reveal the identity of a confidential source of information, or

    • (iii) that was obtained or prepared in the course of an investigation; or
  • (c) the disclosure of which could reasonably be expected to be injurious to the security of penal institutions.
It just mean that they couldn't disclose it based on one of the reasons above (according the statutory provision)

That makes complete sense since you're not in Ontario and applying as OINP applicant under EE this is one of the primary requirement that you prove that you're intent to live in Ontario. what did you say in you letter of Intent when you applied for OINP..?

looks like no movement in PNP inland applications the last update 29th Nov.
