hey university doesn't provide any letter. They just give transcript and degree certificate. I have completed my engineering degree which is 4 years , so doesn't makes sense if you put 2009 instead of 2008 otherwise it would be 5 years
Then if your transcript states the completion in 2008 then you are good. No need to worry.

Sigh, I am now back into the EE pool. Hopefully that ITA comes in the next batch. I noticed that once they removed the "invalid" work experience from my application I ended up missing out by 2 points. Oh well.

Looks like I'll be the last one from the Jan AOR to get PR (If at all). Besides, can't see myself joining the April or May AOR forum, that would be as good as treason ;D

I had 484, once they subtracted the "invalid" work experience, it dropped to 473. Then, the cut off was 475, so I missed it by 2 points. urgh.

What makes it worse is that today the cut off is 417 points, but because I only re-entered the EE pool today, I won't qualify to apply under 417.

Can't really get any more unlucky with this thing.

Make sense the reason of decline....If you were above cut off, could have made it....
Everything happens for a reason.....Best of Luck for the next draw.

On the contrary, once you have fulfilled all the requirements of your degree and approved by the senate of your university, you are officially done with school and can work full-time; I guess you applied for work permit based on that. The work experience gained while waiting for your pgwp under implied status should count towards your CRS points. I know a number of people who got approved using similar work experience. However, some people on this forum have reported rejections with work experience gained before pgwp, even after the completion of their studies; I guess it will continue to be a grey area. What my friends did was to call CIC to ask if they could use the work experience, and the agent said yes. They requested the agent to send them an e-mail stating the validity of the work experience which they attached with an LOE to their EE applications; they have their PR now. You may want to inquire more from CIC before you reapply again. Best.
I agree with you Canada247, I had similar case.
I did call up CIC and the agent confirmed that any work experience that you gain once you are out of school should count as valid work experience, we need not wait for the degree to be awarded. Also, there was a time when CIC was taking around 3-4 months to approve your PGWP so it does not make sense for them to NOT count our work experience we gained while our PGWP was in processing with them.

Relax Salman, just be patient.
There are cases where medical was passed just one day prior to PPR.

You need not panic as long as you have your e-AoR. PNP Inland is extremely slow in processing.

I think cic should start with assessing eligibility before moving to other areas and indicate it on the account status like they do with medicals. Most people are assuming that because the application has taken long then they've passed eligibility.

Thank you, appreciate everyone's help with this, you guys have made this a lot easier and less stressful
I am really very sorry for your rejection. I also had this kind of shocking news. My file was refused due to my point went below MEC as no duties were mentioned in the letter. it went below 475 and mine was 484. Dont worry forget it and create new profile as early as possible and come in pool. Everything will be alright.

I guess the upside to me getting rejected at this stage, I can reapply. as long as it's before August where most of everything starts to expire.

I am sorry but It is not considered that is truth. However, if you have research assistant and teaching assistant during your study then it is counted. Anyway, dont wry, i know it is stressful and disheartening. But thanks to god that they hav nt considered your case as misinterpretation.

You can do it. Points are very less right now in ee
So you mean the experience in masters as RA or TA will be counted, right? I am really nervous right now, I claimed some points for that...

Not if the TA or RA was done in Canada while on a study permit and in full-time studies. It's counted for foreign applicants that studied outside of Canada.
