Hey guys it is just a quick question, do we receive email notification whenever there is an update on the permenant residency profile or we need to log in and check for any changes ?

So far it's been my observation that I've been getting email notifications as and when the changes were done to my application without any delay, but I would go with the recommendations of this forum to keep checking your account from time to time.

I believe all of us will start getting regular updates only from February onwards when our files get transferred to the Local Visa Office.

Another suggestion and this one a bit easier... In my case I have two cases on the tracker, one I started for OINP and this current one for AOR.

Would be nice if there was a way for PNP people to either link their previous tracking case to their current AOR case or update it manually.

I don't mean something sophisticated, just like a hyperlink... Like for example, when someone clicks on my AOR signature it takes them to my case on the tracker, then under the column stream it has PNP, this could be a hyperlink to my OINP case... That way we can tie everything together and someone can see the whole journey (from EE creation, though a painful OINP process to now an ITA and AOR..).

Again, just a suggestion.. if you're already working on a better idea on how to link PNP cases to AOR cases then ignore mine!

Thats another great idea! I will work on it! I think it makes total sense.

It works when there are at least a few statuses... for Jan AOR its not yet representative as we mostly have e-APR AOR status.

Any idea why is it taking longer than usual for medicals to pass. This has only started recently. :-X

Just logged in to find my application status as "updated":

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Not needed at this time
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

Not sure what to make of it. Guess only the review of submitted docs changed from blank to No additional documents needed at this time and BG check from Not Needed to Not Started. Can someone please interpret it for me.

When your BG goes to NN - NS, it basically means your R.10 check is completed and when it goes to NS - NN after this, it means your A.11 check is completed and your file might have or is ready to move into the local VO. This is the general consensus of the DEC'16 applicants but not necessarily be true for everyone. Hope it helps

I have a screenshot of when my medicals were "Passed"and BG check shows 'Not Needed'.

My questions is - What is the status of BG Check when you initially get an AOR?

Initial BC status is NN... You're at NS (which probably changed when your medicals went to PASSED), so you're fine!
