Interesting, the automated response I received on March 7th for my e-mail to CPC-Ottawa did not add the point 'Which visa office is processing your application', guess they'd have been receiving too many questions off late on it.

Btw, did you try submitting the question using web form?
Not yet I'll probably wait a bit and see if I get a reply else the web form should surely work out.

I have a question regarding the PCC and Address History.
* I have mentioned that changed my permanent address from the one in Singapore to India on 29-Dec-2012.
* I have mentioned in travel history that I traveled to Singapore again on 15-Jan -2013 and returned back on 01-Feb-2013.
* My Singapore PCC is until the date 01-Feb-2013, which the last I exited Singapore.

Is this a problem from having the PCC and address history in sync? Do I need to attach a covering letter with my ADR explaining this?

It shouldn't take long. For me they mailed it on 13th Feb, and I received the PCC today morning. Delhi might be faster, as the sorting center for me was Mumbai and then the letters traveled from Mumbai to Pune. In your case I think it should be straight to Delhi.
Ok. So it took almost a month! Thanks. I guess it should arrive by mid April. I hope they send it by Air Mail.

Just my thought, considering the last trip between Jan and Feb 2013 is shorter, it shouldn't affect your address history vs. PCC, because the last trip was temporary. I hope you would have mentioned your singapore address in the address history where you would have lived until 2012 (from whatever date that you would have gone there).

Also, I don't think there will be any harm in mentioning this in your Letter of Explanation (I think the name of this doc changed recently) to provide more clarity. :)

All the best!

My background check hasn't started yet. Should that be a concern?
I don't think it should be a concern provided your AOR was only Feb 26th. Every case is unique for CIC, so the time taken to process an application as a whole can vary significantly between each applicant. While the time taken to process an application can be affected by the accuracy of data submitted, the amount of information added to LOE, etc., etc., only CIC can exactly tell why some applications are processed faster while some takes a longer time. I have seen people getting their PR processed in less than 3 weeks, while there are others waiting since 2017.

Considering the average time taken to process 80% of the applications within 6months per CIC, I would set an average expectation of 90 days from the AOR for application as the best case scenario. If at all your application takes longer than that, please don't be worried, everything happens for a reason, everything is for the good, just stay positive, you should hear the good news sooner or later.

agree with you. Waiting is not easy but sometimes we have to be patient.

@koushik90 any progress with your file. Did you moved to NA2 or IP2 ? What is your timeline.

No, Still the same. Still in IP1. As per my understanding once in IP2 it shouldn't be much long to receive PPR email. so, it makes sense for IP1 to take a long time.

How about you? What stage are you in at the moment?

Hello everyone, new to this group. pls add me to the group AOR Feb 21st. 917330878899..
I have a question ..
21st Feb I submitted my application and received the AOR with in the 2 hours.. From the time I received the AOR daily I'm chking the status.
On 2nd March I received an email from CIC stating "Your application has been updated" Upon chking the status I noticed my medical status has been changed to
" Review of medical results - We are reviewing the results of your medical exam"
Could someone tell me how long does it take to change the medical status to "Medicals Passed" as it is more than 20 days now...
