I do not think you should. If you look at the intro info before uploading the documents, it clearly states that you should only upload documents when requested. so I don't think its necessary cos by adding a letter of explanation, you are giving the visa officer one more thing to worry about. As people usually say less is more :). Put the required document name and number on the form(same as file number) and upload. I just did yesterday

Thanks man.

In how many days did you got your RCMP?

lol agreed. but any estimate? should i expect anything in the next 4 - 5 weeks?

I got my aor 0n feb02, and passed my medical check last Thursday. the background check is N/A. have no idea how long I still need to wait for that "golden email"
I am also a government employee, and I know in the agency a lot of people take earned day off, so I don't put so many hope on Friday and Monday(most people will take their day off on those two days to make it a long weekend). And also it's going to be summer time, tonnes of employees will take leave without pay during this period. So some delay might be expected.

Hi Guys,

Today BG status changed from 'IP1' to 'NA'.

I submitted yesterday and the portion for documents says "The documents you submitted has been uploaded"

Yeah I just did the scan last Mon and waiting for it to arrive. If I knew this was a requirement I would have done it earlier.

I'm just wondering for those who have done this what appeared later on in the BG status and subsequently did they get their PPR.

Thanks for sharing

From the previous posts, people who submitted their RCMP check had their background status updated in 5-10 days and eventually got PPR.

Looks like either way, I'm waiting for my status to change twice more, first to NA, then to IP. NA -> NBG -> NA -> IP

I have the same situation as you.

my BG changes to NBG by Apr 20, but my ME still waits for the "pass". So how long will it take usually? Is it normal?
