I can't remember what the old status was now...I believe it was from background check = NN to NS and Review of Submitted documents has also went from 'blank' to 'No additional documents are needed at this time'.
Medical still not passed yet.

I had the this status yesterday..
Today above status changed to Medicals passed and Background check changed from Not Started to In progress.. so you should expect something similar in a day or two.

I will probably stuck in Background Check IP for awhile though since I need a letter from IRCC to apply for PCC from my place of origin and sounds like as an CEC-inland, another PCC from RCMP is also required, which I have neither.
Still waiting for instructions/ letter from IRCC in order to proceed with both PCCs...hope it doesn't slow me down too much...

Hmm...I have a feeling that you're talking about two different status here?

As far as I can remember, 'Invitation Received' status only showed up in my EE profile after I received my ITA.
'Open' status shows on my PR application profile ever since I submitted my application and received AOR...

(Hopefully someone can verify cause I'm speaking from my memory... )
