Has anybody had experience of Landing via Border with Valid US visa? Do they give you I-94 or still give you entry refusal letter?

I have read earlier that they provide you with I-94 if you have valid US visa and ask for flag polling?

The one I went to was a private one and it does not require an appointment. Only thin they charge $50+GST ...not sure if the local RCMP charges. So if you want to do it quickly maybe worth checking out private firms.

Yea as mentioned by another forummer just need to wait for it in the mail and upload the doc
Thanks, I checked the nearest private one is in Kitchener or Mississauga so thought of sticking with the RCMP in town. Do you know usually how long will it take for the certificate to arrive?

I'm going to buck the trend and say that I'm hoping my application does NOT move ahead for the next three days! I want it to stay at BG not needed..

Why would I want that, you ask? Quite simple, really. Back in 2016, before I set up my EE profile, I happened to change my bank accounts. I did this for reasons unrelated to my Canadian application - mostly because I like the credit union near my house, and Bank of America was trying to nickle and dime me with silly fees.

I have well over the required minimum in my account, but thanks to this move, I didn't have six months of history (and the corresponding daily average balance) when I submitted my application. I wrote an LOE, of course, and submitted bank statements from both my new and old accounts that clearly show that I had the funds for well over six months, but it just felt a little messy.

On the 28th of this month, I will have six months of history in my new account, and plan to submit a revised statement with an actual daily average balance from one single account. I know this doesn't really matter, since I had to show proof of funds at the time of submission, but I will feel better if the CIC agent can look at a statement for the past six months and see that I have the money I need.

So that's why I'm in the unusual position of wanting my application to slow down for a few days!

How do you guys know when the status changes, like BG from IP1 to NA to IP2? :-[

Do you check it manually everyday or they will send you email notification? :-X

The only email I got is when I passed Med Test. :-\

I did my fingerprints and applied with Vancouver Police Department.
(Vancouver is not under RCMP jurisdiction, but the process is very much the same and the PCC is issued by RCMP.)

It took me exactly one business week from application to receiving the PCC at home via mail.
It costed me $60 to do it with VPD.
I do not understand the purpose of getting fingerprints done with private companies and then take it to RCMP when it could be done in one place.

Hope this helps. :)
