Hello All,

Congrats to everyone who received PPR today.
I have a questions. I am a FSW inland applicant with the AOR date of 9th Feb. Today I called CIC to change my email address and they told me that my application is in the last stages BUT it will take a while, he said it might take 2 - 3 months until I hear something.

Did any of you hear that before?
Can that timeline be trusted or is he just saying that so that I do not call again for a while?

Please let me know.

I would not recommend anyone to call before it passes 6 month unless it's very necessary. Because you won't get any information most probably they will say something like that it would take loooong time..

It'll definitely be much before the timeline he gave you.

Well, since the moment I have seen my PPR email, I have been waiting for yours and Kirtivsingh's message on the forum about your PPRs'. Given the fact that our timelines are almost in the same pace, I have been following both of your posts since day1.

Congratulations to both of you!!

Yes Hemurk,

It was like a small team :) Congrats for your PPR. I will stay online for a few more days till I get my Landing done

Congratulations to everyone who has received PPR

One question : according to my GCMS notes eveything is ok and passed but the due date mentioned in 8th May....so what does this due date signify??

Due date does not mean much. It is a date for the IO to check your file but it keeps extending dates so do not rely on it.

I ordered 3 GCMS notes just to check what is happening after due date and trust em there was no change whatsoever.

After your BG goes from in progress to not started from that point onwards your file is stale and is not worked on until it comes back to in progress(i.e when you security goes to in progress.)

Do you have your Passport Stamped? If so, go to the border, if not. send your passport for stamping (search how to on this forum first).

What do you mean by stamped? It seems I meet none of the requirements that would indicate my passport is needed in Ottawa (I'm exempt from needing an eTA or Visa). I've gone ahead and sent Ottawa an email so I'll update when I hear back. There might be other people in a similar boat so this could help clear it up.

I also searched for "stamping" and couldn't find anything. Care to clarify?

Thanks!
