My background check has been in progress ever since I submitted my application in February...

I hope so. This wait is killing me. I've literally put my life on hold in the hope that this will come through soon. Need to start looking for a job once the ppr email arrives. As exciting as it is to start a new life, the waiting is taking the fizz out of that excitement.

I feel you bro!! Or sis? Hehe. My life is on hold as well I can't make any major decisions without knowing the result of my application. I'm in limbo right now not knowing what to expect. Oh, and I'm experiencing anxiety sometimes due to this :/

I hope to God He grants us this. Let's just hang in here!

If I failed to receive PPR due to any reason through email, can I find the PPR letter in mycic account?

I've seen people missing PPR email but none of them received it in Mycic as well. They called IRCC to know the status of their application and were notified that they were sent PPR email and if they never received then IRCC sends it again.

Calling after one week of BG changing to in progress doesn't seem a good idea. I've seen people PPR are 3-4 weeks after BG changed to in progress. But again there are no restrictions to call IRCC. What can be the worst they say "you haven't crossed 6 month mark yet". I'd say if you don't get PPR after waiting 2-3 weeks then you may call.

I recently got my my PR using the express entry route.

I had applied in August'2015(last week) and got the invitation to Apply under FSW in Sept '2015. I had 459 points.

The timeline (approx)

Received Invitation to Apply : Sept '2015
Submission of Express entry application : 1st Nov'2015 (first week)
Acknowledgment : 2nd Nov'2015
Medical : Passed : 6th Nov
Background Check and Eligibility check : In Progress :6th Nov
>> No update till march>>
March 15 '2016 : Ghost update : No message or update could be seen
March 19'2016 : Request for Passport
April 13 : Got Confirmation of P.R along with landing procedures.



No Consultants used , Applied on my own. Single applicant.(FSW category)

Centralized Intake Office (CIO) is the main office where all the EE applications reach. After initial verification at CIO, they are transferred to various local Visa offices for further processing.

hey guys i have a doubt regarding the points regarding ones education....

I have completed a dual degree course which included engg & an MBA....my ECA report also counts it Bachelors of Technology & Masters in Business Administration....while filling out my profile i down my highest education level received as masters....but since it was a clubbed course (as in we had to pursue both courses together) i put it down in the same row as one course instead of two different rows choosing field of study as business, mgmt, mrktng & related actvities.....could there be an issue regarding a confusion between whats on my profile & whats on the ECA
