Has anyone got a call from High Commission of Canada? or will VO from High Commission of Canada call each applicant?

Got a call from High Commission of Canada, India. The lady who spoke, asked my DOB & employment details.

is the call genuine or spam? not able to guess. Checked the phone number, it showed High Commission of Canada, New Delhi.

Hi guys I just got a call from an agent at some Canadian establishment...i did not hear the complete name as i was in a meeting.

It was basically a Quality check call.

She asked me my birth date, educational & work BG....marital status.

if i had used an agent to file the papers....what date did i file my application.

The agent sounded Indian....

Has anyone received such a call yet???

I think its a part of Background Check process.

Hi Guys,

I have a question, my husband (I am the PA) was asked to take a sputum smear test after AOR (we had provided medicals before AOR) the results of which are sent weekly over a period of 8 weeks. As a result, our medicals are still at 'Review in progress' stage.

Is this likely to cause a delay in processing the application? Does anyone know whether the remaining aspects of the application vis-a-vis background check is stalled since the complete medicals are still to be submitted?

I definitely do not want this to add another two months to the already excruciating wait
