I submitted everything on feb 17th
can anyone tell file submitted on what date are being worked on?

the current status of my file is

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not needed at this time
Final decision Not Started

My work permit expired last month and i applied for it to be renewed and they gave me a refusal today

Since they gave me a refusal my i am now applying for restoration status

Now my lawyer has asked me to stop working

So now my question is since my express entry profile went thru because i had a positive LMIA at that time and i am still working at that job
If i quit my job wont that effect my express entry file?
I am just too worried ????

Dear Harry,

I'm no expert in this, but in my case - while my PR is being processed, my application for WP extension/ renewal has been turned down by CIC for the fact that my employer has made a mistake while filing the application.

I have called CIC immediately and I have been told that I can continue working as long as my Employer applies for restoration. The restoration process took about over a month and my WP has been renewed successfully.

To answer your question about Express Entry profile - there wouldn't be any impact as long as your WP is restored successfully, otherwise you have to raise a CSE to inform CIC about your job status and WP.

Did you not submit ECA at all or only for one degree.
I am worried as I submitted ECA for Master degree only for me and my wife.
Have not submitted ECA for Bachelors for both me and my wife.
Can you please explain your rejection.

I had a bachelors. Came to Canada as a student and got a postgraduate certificate (which i believe is higher than a bachelors). Since ECA for a higher degree (like masters) is not required if school is in Canada, I assumed i could skip the ECA for my bachelors too (since i have a "higher" postgraduate cert degree). Unfortunately, there is no option on the application form to select postgraduate certificate alone....it's put into the category of "Two or more certs" (unlike masters that has it's on category). Therefore, the visa officer converted my postgraduate certificate to a diploma certificate in his head, claiming i also did not submit ECA for my BSc. and then reduced my score which led to the rejection.

In your case, I have a friend who applied from USA and only submitted ECA for Masters (not including Bachelors). He has is PR now. Landed 2 weeks ago!
