Yes, if it is SINP, don't take any chance.They are very strict on fund. Others category,I don't know.I have seen cases where they have asked for statement at the verge of PPR release. I would suggest keep it safely till PPR.

I am also on the same boat, medical will expire in DEC. As far as I know, after ppr, 6 months of passport validity or medical expiry whichever comes first, landing has to be done prior to that. Not to press the panic button but there are some cases waiting for 8-10 months also..But I feel your...
