Some movement
I have been monitoring your timeline closely because you submitted the day after I did and it looks like your statuses change the day after mine does.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing well!

I had a question that I hope you can help me with. I received an ITA on January 27 and submitted my e-application on the 17th of february 2016. One thing that struck me (compared to two other colleagues who submitted at the same time) is that I was the only one who was asked to submit educational transcripts as a separate document in the checklist.

One thing to note is that unlike the others, in my educational details, I mentioned that I have a Canadian Masters degree along with a bachelor's degree from India and 12th grade equivalent school degree from India (since it clearly mentioned that I needed to declare all secondary and post-secondary details). However, I had clearly selected "No" when they asked me if I had an ECA for the bachelor's and 12th equivalent degree.

In my application,
Under the section dealing with degrees, I uploaded my Master's degree, Bachelor's degree and 12th grade equivalent degree as a single pdf
Under the section dealing with transcripts, I uploaded my Master's, Bachelor's and 12th grade equivalent transcripts in a single pdf file

I also attached an LOE mentioning that although I had selected "No" under ECA for my bachelor's and 12th grade equivalent degree, I have attached these documents for the VO's review for the sake of truthfulness and completeness.

Did I do something wrong here? Any ideas as to why it asked me to upload transcripts separately apart from the degree certificates?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all the help!
K

You did nothing wrong. Even I was asked to upload transcripts separately.

You did everything right, however when you select masters + bachelors degree in EE profile you get points for that. If you don't get/upload ECA than they would not be counted towards your total score.

My Experience only (so far)
:

1) Medicals Passed in 8 days
2) Background Check changes to 'In Progress'

What I have observed on this forum:

1) Medicals Passed in anywhere from '2 days' to '3 months (or more)'
2) Then Background check goes from 'Not Need at this Time' to 'In Progress'
3) Then after (anywhere from 12 days - 1 month later) - Background Check goes to 'Not Needed' again
4) Then after (5-10 days) goes to 'In Progress' again
5) Then back to 'Not Needed' and 'In Progress' a few times
6) Then some people get asked to complete 'Schedule A', 'Schedule 4'
7) Then some people get rejected (most commonly due to incorrect PCC), but other reasons also
8) Then after between 4-6 months people get PPR
9) Then a few days later COPR

Quickest time I have seen someone get PPR (on this forum): 38 days
Slowest time I have seen someone get PPR (on this forum): 7 months

FSW Inland Applicants seem to be processed slower than other category applicants. Note: this does not mean every FSW Inland applicant is processed slower than other applicants.

Disclaimer: This may not be true for everyone, just my observation from reading many, many threads.

Happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

I have received my AOR on 13th Feb. Next month, I am going to my home country for 6 weeks on vacation. Do you think i get PPR before May. I am little worried. How long they give us time to submit passport?.

What category are you? can you state your timeline please? As I said earlier if you are FSW (Inland), you may be processed slower than other classes of Economic Applicants.

But then again it depends on your VO, whether they believe you have submitted enough documents, how busy they are, whether they need any further information from you. Because I don't know your whole case I'm just guessing.

With CEC Inland - PNP, the VO has less information to verify and also having a PNP the provincial bodies have done the preliminary work already so you may be processed faster than other applicants. Until you hear from the VO though, assume that you will be processed in 6 months.

Some people may say, "Well but my friend's application was processed in a quicker amount of time" which may be true but in truth processing also depends on the following factors (in general):

1) May depend on which VO your case is transferred to and how busy they are
2) May depend on if they need additional information from you

Once you submit too many unknown factors involved to give an accurate answer. You just have to wait and hope you get PPR.
