Just checked MyCIC and it said 'updated' - background check has gone from 'not needed' to 'in progress'!!! :-X I know it maybe a while before PPR email but v excited as there has been no movement on my account since January. Didn't receive any ghost email, usually check my account every couple of days so not sure the exact date it changed.

I ordered on 17-Mar as an email and didn't get it yet. I asked the status and today I got reply saying they have processed it on 27-Apr and sent via Canada Post. But what they sent it should be an email. isn't ?

I ordered mine to be delivered by e-mail. Got them in about 3 weeks.
How long has it been since you ordered them?
If it's been past the processing time given when you applied (it said 31 calendar days for me), have you tried contacting IRCC for a status update?

So looking at the people who rec'd their PPR today, it seems you get the golden email around 10 days after BG check goes into progress. Hoping mine comes thro next week sometime. Good luck everyone!

heyy... my profile in MYCIC accounts has been updated but no changes in background check yet....

I went and checked my cic account and noticed it says -UPDATED...went in and checked background status, it remained the same :'(

I went back again out of curiosity and it changed back to "submitted". - damn i never asked for this excitement.....

Don't worry, mine went back to submitted after I'd checked it. That's what happens when you go in then press 'back to previous page'. I then went back in and my BG check was still 'in progress'.

Did you check your mycic account after you got the ghost email ?
cz my background check is still - not needed at this time ??? :
