@AM_008, are you able to add more column e.g. change in BG check, because mine was in progress then changed back to not needed at this time. Many people go through the same so if the spreadsheet had this information the data as a whole will be more informative.

1) There is a thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/my-background-check-wentt-from-in-progress-to-not-needed-at-this-time-t385125.0.html
+plus separate spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/168S8dzijHN-SnmwQ6e1z4xtHdz8vRGk5R5q0cksLPK8/edit?usp=sharing created by "kvr007"

2) In the AOR-December-Spreadsheet I would prefer to store only current information.
Therefore, I added the column "Current Background Check Status Date" where applicants should enter the date when their CURRENT Background Check Status changed.

Someone already bet me to it actually ;D. It wouldn't matter for me much really, got life planned around a May-June COPR.

I'm thinking of the next steps if I get copr in May. Can you please write down some tasks. Flight tickets are cheap 2 months before bso landing in July Aug is practical right. Unless one books tickets in April itself?

I think June landing is best from weather but maybe it's too early to plan for us Dec guys.

Thanks a lot AM_008 . I just submitted the additional docs there.

Hi guys,

I submitted my application on 28th December 2015, how soon do medicals etc start getting updated? The doctor I did it from didn't have emedical and so used the paper based medical procedure and posted it from within Canada by mail on 16th December 2015.

So was just wondering how soon before updates take place.

All the best with your applications!!

Thanks,

It seems that CEC and PNP/FSW-inland applicants are the first in the processing queue

AOR-December-Spreadsheet
BG Check Status is "In Progress":
8 applicants - CEC;
3 applicants - PNP-inland;
1 applicant - FSW-inland;
2 applicants - FSW-outland;

Guys, please, fill in the column "Current Background Check Status Date" in the spreadsheet.

Background check in progress can stay like that forever, not sure if that matters...
Its case to case....
I am a CEC applicant and I have not seen many CEC applicants on this forum...
I have checked excel data from October and November aswell and it does not show CEC has faster processing

I have couple of friends who were CEC candidates and got their PPR in around 60-80 days...

The truth is that no one knows exactly what is going on in their offices. =)

true that

Hey guyz, as I can see from above posts, many applicants have got background check going to 'in-progress' or 'not required' immediately after their medical status changes to 'Passed'. I passed my medicals on the 31st December but no further changes to status' in any other fields refleced on MyCIC. My BG check reads as 'Not Started' from 'Not required at this time' though.

My timeline is:

FSW - Outland (NOC 0013)
ITA: 4th December
Meds Done: 16th December
EE App submission: 17th December
E-AOR: 17th December
Meds Passed: 31st December

I'm worried to the core seeing that there is no progress in my status for BG Check as compared to other people's application. Should I be worried?

Keep cool. The status "not started" is better than "not needed at this time" because it means that application is being processed. My status changed from "in progress" to "not needed". That's frustrating, feels like my application was placed on the shelf.

Guys, my BG check is not needed at this time after medicals passed (PNP/FSW Outland) while for some in exact same category, BG check already in progress immediately after medicals passed.

Anyone got ideas?
