#To All,

Its a terrible mistake from my end....eca Says
Masters as (canadian equivalent to bachelors 4yrs)

So do all suggest me to create a new EE profile again?

Amit

What would be your recalculated score?

After creating new profile you will have 6 less points if I'm not mistaken. What were your points before?

Can't you claim two degrees option? That should get you a bit more points but please confirm this time as your ECA doesn't say that and not sure if that would be an issue.

Hey Guys,

I am FSW Outlander, AOR submitted ( self & Family) on 8th Aug, Medicals passed same day and BG started on 17th Nov 2015. In June I applied for work permit for myself, which I received in Oct 2015.

Does having work permit approved recently helps in PR application?

I will be moving to Canada on Work permit in Jan 2016, but my family will join only after PR, which address I should communicate to CIC, Canadian or current home address?, as I will be in Canada in Feb but my family will not be in Canada, so if PR comes after Jan then submission of passport for myself will be in Canada and for my family in home country?

I hoping in next 2 weeks to have positive outcome from CIC for PR, so the above problem is solved on its own.
Appreciate your thoughts.

Very sorry to hear this Amit. What does your ECA state? And I was under the impression they check all of this at the start. Looks like a complete recheck is done towards the end.

Is it a possibility that people in Aug who didn't get bg in progress had complex cases/doubts and needed a senior officer to review who is either now clearing them with bg in progress or rejecting them.

Earlier today someone with early Aug AOR also got bg in progress.

Hello All,

BAD NEWS Guys..Got refusal letter minutes ago and i need DESPERATE HELP on this..

I am from Indian and education details submitted are as follows

Master Degree : Masters in Mass Communication
Bachelors : Bachelors in Commerce

CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME ON THIS URGENTLY

I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

In your Express Entry profile you indicated that you held a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree. The ECA you have provided confirms your educational equivalency as 2 Bachelor’s degrees.
In accordance with section 11.2 of the Act of the Regulations, I am refusing your application because I have found that you do not meet the criteria set out in an instruction given under paragraph 10.3(1)(e). This change in your qualifications resulted in a loss of points that brought your rank below the lowest ranking person who was invited to apply in your round, under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.
Subsection 11(1) of the Act states that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or for any other document required by the regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. Subsection 2(2) specifies that unless otherwise indicated, references in the Act to “this Act” include regulations made under it."

Amit

Hello Amit. First and foremost, I'm very sorry to hear this news. It was totally unexpected.

Regarding the reason, CIC states that according to ECA , your education equivalency as two bachelors degree & That you had indicated you had a masters degree and a bachelors degree.

According to CIC, they think that you misled them by saying that you had a masters's degree and bachelors degree when in reality, you had only two bachelors degrees.

Now, exactly what does ECA state you have regarding your education equivalency. It's possible that CIC might have made a mistake.

We got an update on mycic account that medicals are passed. We didn't received any update emails at all.

Sorry about your situation Amit. That's so awful to happen at this time. I see they've requested RPRF as well. Did they stated in RPRF email that your application is eligible for category you've applied under? I don't even know if education requirements are related to eligibility? Anyone?

Anything for which you have claimed points comes under eligibility. Your eligibility is assessed on the bases of your NOC, work experience, education or any other certifications for which you have claimed points.

Ah my last update was from December 16th when they requested my PCC. (Even though I had already submitted it through Case Specific Enquiry and they had confirmed that it was attached to my application).

This time they requested it and I attached it through MyCic like they wanted. It says "Provided" under Review of submitted documents now. I am inland FSW.

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Anyone else has "Provided" under this section? Is this normal?

Ah it has been so long, I hope we get something soon .

So now we are sure that RPRF doesn't mean s***. Even if they say you are eligible...

Amith case is the second case where we see refusal after RPRF request. Interestingly their BG did not changed to InProgress at any point in time during the whole process. Probably I am correlating too much. I am not sure if this make sense or not. Now I am bit scared and looking back all my documents and my profile and making sure what I mentioned is correct or not. BTW I also got RPRF request in Nov and My BG turn to In Progress on Nov 19th. I am PNP-CEC Inland
