Today, 10-Sept-2015, I now have ECAS access.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 31, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 31, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on September 8, 2015.
4. We sent you correspondence on September 8, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. (CELPIP document request and was submitted).

No updates on medical or background check as of yet, but I now have access to ECAS.

My time line so far:

Category - FSW Inland Applicant w/ PGWP without LMIA or PNP(Single Applicant)
ITA - July 17, 2015
App. Submitted - August 31th, 2015
AOR - August 31th, 2015
Additional Documents Requested, CELPIP - September 8, 2015.
Additional Documents submitted - September 8, 2015.
ECAS Access - September 10, 2015

Background check in progress

how do we know Background check in progress ?

In my Application/Profile status, A Background check in needed has changed from 'Not needed at this time' to 'Not Started'

What does this imply?

When it is expected to change 'Background check started'

Guys did anyone's ECAS address changed to their old address automatically? Last week my mailing address was my old address ,and I updated it with my new address last 10 days back .

Now both my current address and mailing address are being shown as old address .. is it a big in ECAS or only happening to me!!

I just changed mine last night, and noticed it will take some time for CIC to process.

and I forgot exact how many days, but pretty sure I read something like 10-15 (Business?) days.

Hello is it a must for the background check to go "in process" from not needed at this time...
I am still waiting for any movement on my application.

there is no 'must' here buddy...every application will be processed on different timelines, don't stress about these things....good luck with your application...n patienceeeee

Hi there, I am almost ready to submit my application. However after i uploaded all the documents and filled in the information, there is no next button to submit / for payment. At the bottom it only has 1 button for exit questionnaire ?? Feeling silly right now. :'(

Hi All,
Submitted application (from India) on Aug 31st but no updates after that. Nothing on medical or access to ecas. Is the processing slow for applications from India at this point?

Same concern for me.
You can call the doctor and check whether there was some issue. I just checked with my clinic and was there wasn't any problem. The doctor suggested waiting for some more time before approaching CIC.

Lets hope for the best.. I am little worried coz many members got their medical passed with in 1 day to 7 days.. and I am waiting since almost - 21 days..
