Thank you so much Teenkatigda ... perfect guess / estimate ... got an update today (15th Jan) ... asking us to go for Biometrics ... lets see if there is a place and appointments are open in India ... Thanks again! :)
Guys, any update on the approx. time lapse between submission of Biometrics and hearing back on the next steps (such as passport collection). Biometrics were submitted and updated the same day on March 8th and status hasn't changed from that time.

Also, at VFS India, we opted for Premium Lounge services, where they promised a faster home pick up of the passport and quicker submission of Biometrics. The latter proved true, while former needs to be tested though! :)

how much is your progress bar percent showing?
AOR is 10 DEC i tell you, probably it is 54%
The bar has nothing to do with application progress : ) it only has to do with time elapsed from AOR till end of 180 days
Thats 98 days since AOR divided by 180
98/180

Example if your time elapsed from AOR is 81 days your progress bar should show 45% today.

Some applicants from AOR OCT have started to see their approval decision in their Mycic account, so i expect 4 months from biometrics.

However there is no such standard reference, there is no constant rule.
Just allow some time and your application will yield sooner or later.

@legalfalcon - Sir, I have one basic but extremely important question for me -
I am working in Canada from last 1+ year and I went to my home-country for the vacation just for couple of week; however, I was getting Canadian salary for that period also, because it was simply vacation. Could you please tell if that period will be counted under CEC experience ?

YEs, regular vacations and off days can be counted towards your work experience, just as weekends.
