so is that means second time BG check went in progress.

It may not happen in your case at all. It may remain in progress through out until you get PPR.
However, if your case is similar to me, you will see your background check will change from in progress to not needed in the upcoming days.( you may be asked to submit additional documents at that time).Then after a long wait, your bg will change to in progress again ( 2nd time).

I got ITA on 24th Feb, 2016 and AOR on 24th April, 2016. Still waiting for passport request.... Do you guys have an idea regarding normal duration taken by CIC? Plz reply.

Category: PNP/FSW inland
AOR: April 29, 2016
Meds passed: May 11, 2016
Bckgrnd check In progress: May 11, 2016
Bckgrnd check not needed at this time: July 3, 2016
Bckgrnd check In progress: July 12, 2016




HI are you single applicant? my AOR is April 23, but my BGC was not changed yet again in progress its still BGC not needed at this time.

December 2015 - 100%
January 2016 - 77%
February 2016- 8%
March - 0%
April - 0%

There are people even with PNP status who crossed 6 months already.
No surprise if NDVO takes 6+ months for FSW

An update

Got my copr today and just landed at rainbow bridge. It took us around 30 minutes and no documents were required.

This forum has been a really useful tools for me.and I wish everyone speedy processing!

I'm AOR 20th of April, and my BG status is still in progress since the beginning.
I see a lot of applicants get their BG status changes to 'not needed at this time' after 3 or 4 weeks.
Do other people received their PR without any change in their BG check ?
I'm CEC Inland.

Hi there any further update on your status ? I am also April 20 CEC inland. Background went from in progress to not needed in May and nothing after that.

I doubt the source of this statistics. I know aquite some people from April 2016 that have received PPR mail, meaning April 2016 applicants have started receiving PPR mails! We all do not know how the process work, lets just stay calm and positive.
