Hi guys,

I am posting this here too because I am getting very nervous.

Hello folks,

I sent a complete application package in Apr '16. I am on a 3-year work permit which will expire this summer and I am becoming a bit concerned.

Below is what my profile shows in CIC.

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Has anyone an idea of when I should receive an update and/or a PR status?

I was asked for additional document in august (which I provided)

I am trying to call a CIC number with no luck...

Many thanks in advance for your help

Have you considered ordering GCMS notes?

Also, could you please tell us what additional documents were requested?

Hi there,

Does anyone have an idea about, whether bank statement from a International bank (e.g Scotiabank) can be used as proof of funds at port of entry?

Thanks in advance.

Scotiabank is one of the "big 5" banks in Canada. Statements/letter issued by this bank is certainly accepted.

Hi,

What are GCMS notes?

They asked me to send proof of military service.

GCMS notes contains all the details you submit, checks that your application underwent (R10/A11.2/Criminality/Other BG checks etc). It also contains the notes/comments your officer has made on your application. Check the link below -->

apologies I forgot to thank you in my previous reply.

I was able to speak with CIC on the phone a few minutes ago. They said everything is fine and I should receive some letter in some weeks.

Would you know what the next steps are? What if I receive the approval (or whatever they are sending me) while I am outside Canada? Could I just present on my arrival?

Thank you very much for your help
