Do anyone know when will I get back my passport from London visa office? I sent out my
passport for the PPR issuance and don't know when will it be send back!!!!!

I have no idea, soon I hope. They got mine on 20th January, still nothing back.

:(

Thank you for your reply!

What the letter said is if you submit your passport in person, you may collect your passport
10 working days. I assume they will send out 10 working days after received.

Hope you and me will get back very soon.

Hope for you two it doesnt take to long :)

I just sent my passport off to Berlin (my CPC) My letter also stated those 10 days.

Do you guys know why they want your passport? They ask for it, but I do not quite understand what it is for.. ?
Is this one of the final steps/does it mean were almost through? (and do we still have a chance we might have to go for an interview?)

oh my goodness! are you serious? I thought it was 1 week, 2 at the most! Even read someone got theirs back 4 days later! This changes my plans alot :( all this stupid waiting!!!

Depends where you sent it from? I sent hubby's from canada, and it took 3 weeks to get back to canada

I sent mine via Fedex to UK from Canada and it arrived in London on 20th January, but it is being sent back to a friend in UK, who still doesn't have it yet - I checked earlier today - and she's going to Fedex it back to me, so that I know exactly where it is etc.

London seems to have sent out a load of PPRs lately, maybe they're doing those who have dropped them off in person first?? Or maybe today being the 10th working day, they'll send it off today and she'll get it Monday? I don't know, I'm just trying really hard not to panic about it at the moment and stay calm!

**chill** It will get back to me when it does, I've been approved, so that's the main thing, just wait for the passport with the shiny new visa **chill**

My new mantra!

well no rush really for you Mandi seeing as your already in Canada an all with your spouse. I on the other hand are desperate to get everything asap so I can hurry up and gtfo of england and be with hubby lol

I know what you mean shandymoo, we made the decision I was going to 'visit' before we even got PPR. I had just had enough of being away from him and that was that (obviously not that easily).

Although I did get the PPR and they have my passport and I know everything is going to be fine, there's always that little niggley doubt, and the what ifs, and, and, and....

But am sure it will be fine, we've just gotta work out when we'll get passport back, so we can plan the 15 hour drive to the Montana border, now that sounds like fun - NOT! But will be worth it in the end when I actually land and can then work!!

Wow 15 hours?! I think you can land at certain government offices instead of border bouncing lol

Sending your passport means your permanent resident visa is reay to stamp on your passport, no need for an interview~~

Yeah, I saw that on a few other posts, but really 15 hours is not so long as a couple of month wait for a landing interview Inland. Will look into it more when I get my passport, but really want to officially land and work as soon as possible.

MandiF:

What is your timeline for sending out your passport?

Not sure I understand your question motul. But I received my passport request on 5th Jan, flew to Canada on 12th Jan and fedexed my passport back to UK for the visa which arrived at the London Embassy on 20th Jan (and was held up in Customs in UK for 2 days).

Put a return address for the passport back to a friend's house in UK and have spoken to her today and she's not yet received it. Still waiting....

always waiting for something...
