Anyone here who arrived in Canada without return ticket?

Hi. Wondering if there's anyone here holding visit visa for family reunification, able to successfully enter Canada through YVR (Vancouver) without showing a return ticket?

I have a friend whose mom came over 2 years ago, and was never asked of return ticket by the officer upon entry. Please share your experience wherher you were asked for one or no. Thanks.

1. She probably had a super visa, no return ticket required. Most instances airline won't let you board with a 1 way ticket.

Thanks for your reply, PMM. It's regular visitor visa for my friend's mom. She requested visa extension before the 6 months was up and got implied status until the approval of the extension.
