Anyone got SPP Visa (approved/refused) for Sep 2013 intake from New Delhi?

I submitted my SPP file to VFS New Delhi on 7th May 2013 and the Passport Status is :
"Passport received at Canadian High Commission, 7/8 SHANTIPATH, CHANKYAPURI, -, NEW DELHI, Pin:110021, Tel: on 08/05/2013 and is under processing"
I did get a phone call from Embassy on 13th May to reconfirm Work and Educational details and have not heard anything since.
10th : 61% 2001 , 12th 58% 2003 , BSc 72% 2006 and 6 Years of Work Experience since then
Also completed MBA International Business 77% 2012 from Distance mode CMJ University

Lambton College : Sep 2013 : 2 Year PG International Business Management
IELTS : 7.5 Band (L-8.5 , S-7.5 , R-7.5, W-6.5)
GIC : $10100 paid
1 Year College fee : $13200 Paid.
Pre Medical : Attached

The visa processing for sept admissions under SPP generally starts in june.....why have you applied early?? i think they'll reply in june.

@ moneywater - I just went by the CIC website instructions to apply as soon you get the offer letter and that its advisable to start visa process 4-6 months before the course start date.

2 more working days have passed this week and this month will end in 3 more working days!

As per CIC website even General Stream student visas are processed within 15 Working days from Delhi office which got completed today, but my application status still shows "under processing"

I sent an email to embassy requesting to advise the current status , lets see if I get a response by the end of this week.

I know from this forum for a fact that a few applicants did get their visas more than 3 months prior to their course starting date.

My course begins on 26th August and I am within the 3 months zone too .... Pre-Meds done , Full 1 year fees paid, GIC shown, my education could be verified and cross checked online and work ex by contacting my HR department. Police Clearance done, Never overstayed on my tourist visas abroad (Thailand and Dubai)
so I do not know why is there such a long delay.

Once you send the docs to GIC in proper arranged manner they will send you the mail with your account details in 2 -3 days.
then its on you how soon you transfer the money. Once you transfer the money it takes around 4-5 days to get the GIC certificate.
Again the processing times depends on the number of applications at there end.

My timeline (Could be a record for quickness .... only till I submitted my file for Visa)

April 9 2013 - Applied to Lambton College Sarnia Campus with all notarized academic and IELTS score of 7.5 Bands

April 10 2013 - Received unconditional letter of acceptance for 2 Yr PG International Business 26th August 2013 batch.

April 12 2013 - Filled GIC form with all scanned and signed documents.

April 13 & 14 2013 - Weekend

April 15 2013 - GIC account number received.

April 17 2013 - Called Max Med Centre Delhi 11.30am, Got appointment 2.30pm and Medicals completed by 5.00pm

April 30 2013 - Wire transferred 1 Yr fee $13200 to Lambton college and $10100 to Scotiabank for GIC

May 02 2013 - Tuition fee receipt from college received.

May 04 2013 - GIC Welcome pack & Account number received.

May 05 & 6 2013 - Filled the Study Permit forms as per SPP checklist

May 07 2013 - Submitted file to VFS New Delhi ........

May 08 2013 - My visa application received by CHC New Delhi

May 11 & 12 2013 - Weekend

May 13 2013 - Received a call from CHC to verify and cross check my recent study and work experience.

May 13 to 17 2013 - Scary week .... went thinking what is going to happen? Is there something wrong or do they suspect any docs of mine are not genuine .... Browsed online and read somewhere on CIC website that incase a forged doc is provided or misrepresentation is done
"IT RESULTS IN IMMEDIATE REFUSAL" and since the week passed I gained a little more confidence.

Later on realized that there was no need of getting paranoid since I did not provide any forged docs, moreover submitted Notarized copies of all documents.

May 18 to 19 2013 - Again a weekend

Left for a trek in Southern Himalayas

May 20th 2013 - On My Birthday , Completed an uphill trek of 20Kms in snow and -5*C and celebrated on the peak of Churdhar (The highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world at 3650 meters above sea level)

May 22nd 2013 - Returned home and checked my file status (still under processing)

May 25 2013 - Weekend begins yet again..... I joined this Forum and since then glued to this website.

May 28 2013 - After 15 working days were over , I sent an email to CHC New Delhi requesting current information and update of my application.

June 1 & 2 - Another weekend approaching .....

Now we have proof that students have already got their shiny visa stickers on their passports in May for Sep 2013 intake.
Chandigarh CHC is issuing Study Visas .... example Sandhuboy
Chennai CHC is in some kind of rush .... Study Visa - University Stream in just 3 Days!!! (Yes not SPP) ..... example Vijai

??? ??? There is no CHC chennai. who said that?? Vijai's case was processed at chc new delhi only. Though there's VFS in chennai.

hi my name is kunal and i am from chandigarh
i have following academics
Class 10 - 8.0 CGPA
Class 12 - 86.6 % commerce
IELTS - 6.5 band

my problem is i want to know whether the funds i m showing are sufficient or not as i m applying for a degree program of 4 years of study in manitoba

I got my letter of acceptance from the university

My total fees including room and meal is 11000 CAD$ for one year
and i m showing following docs:
6.0 lacs through education loan
2-3 lac in bank a/cs
5-6 lacs of valuation statement from CA
6 lacs in form of my receipts of first year college tuition fees and residence and meal paid amount
totaling around 20-21 lacs
last but not least my family support from my father, mother and brother

will i will get the visa or not as i m confused regarding my financials
and one more thing should i apply under university or general category
as i have completed my 12 class last year and i m working since then with a firm so should i attach a letter of employment from that firm or should i do something else and did not show that employment
i just want to make my case strong and want to file my VISA on safe side

Please help me with this i will be very grateful to you

Does this actually mean Vijai got his approval in 2 Days as his file may have taken 1 working day to reach from VFS Chennai to CHC New Delhi.

What does this office below do then when they are open? (as not in operation from May 1 to June 5, 2013)

visa depends on many factors kunal and not being an expert I rather not try and preach as I my own visa application is in process.

But your major query is answerable in 1 simple thumb rule of finance which is as follows
Pay entire 1 year fees in full to University/College
$10,000 additional for 1 year living expenses in the form of Education loan or GIC from Scotiabank
And steady income proof for parents/sponsors would be sufficient.

Apply under UNIVERSITY if you are going to one! (you may get visa in 3 days... who knows!)
General and SPP are normally used for college applications

If you have work experience of more than 6 months , then show
Strictly follow the UNIVERSITY CHECKLIST! and all the best!!
