Anyone knows that requesting schedule A is for what???

It means they want to verify the background on someone. There may be a question as to some dates, or addresses on one or more applicants.

Of course people have been refused after a Schedule A request, and many people get PPR without one, but in the majority of cases, Schedule A is followed reasonably closely by PPR, so you can reasonably hope that will be your case!

Hi i have a somewhat related question..

Did anyone get a PPR or a refusal without being asked to submit their english test results form? Thanks in advance

If you took IELTS they don't need the form - just the number on the application, so they can directly confirm results. I see that they often ask for CELPIP part way through the application, but I took IELTS so I don't know why they do that.

We received your application on 4 July
We send you aor on 13 July
Medical results have been received
Ecas application received
Then on 12 August in process
Eligibility in progress
Background check in progress
Then on 3rd request for schedule A

I think somebody is looking at your application and it looks like a good sign to me.

Thank you so much, dobes! Your reply means a lot. It's actually for my sister. She got AOR in july and got decision made last night around 11:55pm. We're getting worried since she was only asked for an RCMP check by CIC. She did take the IELTS test. We're hoping for the best for all applicants. Congrats, by the way! :)

i just reviewed the july thread and timeline (google spreadsheet) and saw you almost have the same timeline as my sister.. omg.. hope we get good results next week :)

I'm having the same concern!!
sposue of a principal applicant

our timeline goes like this:
App submitted August 07
AOR received the same day
Shortly after medical passed & eligibility & background check in progres
Celpip Request August 14
Schedule A request (spouse) Sep 04
Schedule A submitted Sep 08

*************************
Yes, I have a concern.. Why is eligibility still in process? Shouldn't they be able to confirm it shortly after receive an application?
And asking me for schedule A instead of principal applicant. So confused.
Our application is complicated (ex spouse of main applicant, two children from previous marriage that are not included in application - but supporting letter of their mom is attached with LOE.. etc) And they've asked only for mine schedule A not his.

I have discovered ECAS last week. It said everything mentioned above except Application started being processing August 13.

Any inputs so welcomed & appreciated! Thanks
