ka3far: I think you should receive your medical tests very soon. They sent me the medical tests along with the request for police certificates.

Hach: Yes the second step is the Permanent Residency VISA. Check the official website: http://www.cic.gc.ca for all the information you need.

The CSQ means you've been accepted for Quebec. Now for the VISA, later on when they send you the medical tests, they want to make sure you are healthy and have not committed any crimes (they will ask for updated police certificates, like the ones you sent for the CSQ application) then they will ask for your passports (which usually you can send at the Canadian Embassy in your country, and not necessarily where your document is being studied - in Damascus).

I got my CSQ on 30th of Nov. '08, and Applied on the 15th of March from Cairo, Egypt..

Good luck with the Medicals, mainly it should take around 4~6 weeks after the Medicals to receive the Visa, God be with you

thanks Mike_MRK.. i also recieved some hope from cyrus71 and tonyalbatal.. 3 weeks after they recieved the medicals i did.. i applied in 23 Feb 09 for the pr visa .. so i guess you need to wait 3-4 weeks more to recieve your med's.. good luck with your application.

just I would like to clarify something, if you're using a consultant in Canada, when you receive the medical, do they (CHC) send it to the consultant and the consultant send it back to me, or they just inform him that the medical is here and the consultant contact me to pick the medicals up ?

I'm happy you finally got your medical tests How do you know that your meds are in Paris, do you have any tracking number or so? If yes how did you manage to get it?

I hope someone replies regarding the time needed after medical tests. By the way, I , Ka3far and Cyrus71, we can guys keep ourselves updated because our documents are being sent to all of us in the same period as you noticed. so please guys, once you get anything, let's keep ourselves updated in THIS SAME POST. Don't open a new discussion or else it will be lost.

I did the medicals in AUH Beirut, and they called me after 2 days and said that all the tests are good and told me that they have sent them by ARAMEX and gave me the tracking number. They are in paris since 23 Dec09. For Quebec applicants the med's are sent first to paris for evaluation! I also paid the landing fees..

Strange my doc didn't give me any tracking number I'll call and ask about them, but u track them till they arrive to Paris only, or you can keep tracking? And where should they go after that Canada or Damascus? Please keep me updated since I don't have a way to track, at least I can get an idea... The med took from me 200$ for both me and my wife (100+100). Those are doctor's fees and not the actual blood and xray tests. How much did u pay as doctor fees?

we paid about 1000$ !!!we are 5 .. and we can only track them till paris . But they told us that the doctor in Paris will resend them by ARAMEX to Canada once he finish(2nd aramex is part of the 1000$); But we cant have the 2nd tracking number. But I guess once they recieve them in Canada they should update the Ecas to decision made.
