Hi guys - im new here sa forum and just started backreading. Very informative thread specially for me who is seriously considering studying in canada.

I have some questions lang re Studying. Sorry for the newbie questions and thanks in advance

- When should I apply for a Study permit? I was told to apply as soon as i get letter of acceptance from school. Is this true?
- Once I get my Study permit, will it allow me to enter Canada as is or may iba pa akong kailangan na visa or other docs from canada?

Yan muna and thanks again guys. Mabuhay kayo lahat

You cannot submit your application to the Canadian Embassy Manila (CEM) directly. They hire a 3rd party contractor to check the completeness of the application. Ayaw ng CEM na papasa ka ng application sa kanila tapos kulang kulang at ibabalik kaya kinontrata nila ang VFS para ganitong trabaho. So lahat ng application sa VFS dadaan.

Do not apply too early kasi may chance of rejection. Apply around 6-4 months before school starts.

You will get a student visa sa CEM. With that visa makakapasok ka na sa border ng Canada. Sa border dun nila bibigay ang student permit mo. With the student permit pwede ka na mag aral sa Canada. Kahit may visa ka na pwede ka madeny ng student permit in some occasion, although rare.

Nah, I don't believe the earliness of your application affects the approval of your visa.

Huh. The CAD15,000 is for what exactly? Did the agent say it is for the tuition? Or their professional fee.

Google is your friend. Read this link for the financial requirements needed.

Tanong ko lang po sa mga nasa Toronto na, anung college maganda for early childhood education (ECE) malapit sa Scarborough area. My wife planning to enroll for next school year once open na for registration this October/Nov, for now we are choosing between Seneca Newnham and Centennial Ashtonbee or Progress. We prefer this area kasi she/we will staying with her uncle house, less commute compare to Humber and George brown.

Centennial is okay since I studied there, don't know anything about Seneca. There actually isn't a lot of difference between the colleges you mentioned so you should be fine with either.

All glory to God! After second attempt finally my visa has been approved. God makes everything beautiful in His perfect time! By the way, I applied under SDS this time.

• July 18 - Wired funds to Scotiabank

Thanks to all the people who gave advices and answered my questions during the process. May God bless us all!
