I know this was asked previously but I just want to make sure before booking a flight. ;) My flight itinerary is Manila-Vancouver-Toronto. Saan po kaya ako dadaan na immigration(point of entry)? Sa Vancouver po ba or Toronto? Layover time in Vancouver is around two hours.

Thank you:)

You'll go through immigration in Toronto. The Vancouver stop is just a layover and you will only go to a lounge and reboard the plane. PAL flight, right? Took the same one two years ago.

Silly question and might not be related to this post but ill go for it anyway :p
Planning to get a new phone. Is it more practical to buy here in the Phils before I leave or just get one in Canada (with postpaid plan)? I have no idea how phones work differently in a different place  and kung which option ako makaka save

I brought my own phone and just got the SIM in Canada. Don't know if phone units are cheaper her or there though. Just make sure the phone you buy can run on LTE.

If you are not picky(LG G3, etc),phones can be free of charge if you get a 2 year contract. The cheapest during my time was freedom mobile. Unlimited internet and may LTE allowance na 5 gig per month dahil student ako. Don't forget to ask for the student discount or extra free data. Minsan hindi nila babangitin sayo yun e hehe
I pay 35/month for mine

Or is it something that must come from registry of deeds?

Ang iba naman di na nagppresent ng mga properties like houses, land titles or car. Depend po sa inyo. Pero pwede din naman na isali nyo kasi additional documents yun para sa proof of ties nyo in the Philippines.

Yung notatized po na sinasabi is yung pinapacertify na true copy from the original yung document. Sabihin mo lang sa notary public na ipapacertified true copy mo goodluck!

I started school in September so I didn't experience this personally, but according to my school website, you are allowed to take a semester off after two consecutive semesters of study. So, di ka pa pwede mag term break agad.
https://www.centennialcollege.ca/studenthub/students/international-students/immigration/

So most likely, you take a break in the Fall term instead of summer. But check with your school's international department or CIC. I had classmates who came in January and they finished their course without breaks.
