Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

I've read from some posts here before that some people brought cash with them. That way, at least you don't have to wait for the bank to clear your funds and you don't have to pay for wire transfer fees. Sabi nila, you just have to fill out the declaration card that you are bringing over 10k.

Maraming may mga kapamilya sa ontario at maraming pinoy doon and they get free accommodation.
Kumpare sa ibang province mas maraming colleges ang nagooffer ng easy life sa international students.
Aggressive rin ang ontario sa pagpromote ng school nila. They even offer Jan or May intake and unlike other province mostly September lang ang umpisa. Dahil rito competitive ang PNP sa ontario. Yung ibang nagmasters nawawalan ng chance kasi nagoover flow na mga masters graduate.

I am not really sure if Makami College grants PGWP but just to make sure, my brother advised me to change DLI to Mount Royal Univ or University of Calgary once I get accepted into these schools again. Thanks Kapatid!

Hi. May mga nurses po ba dito na LPN/ PSW/ health care aide ang program sa Canada at approved na po ang visa? I would like to ask po Kung ano ang explanation niyo sa SOP for the program of choice. I've been advised po kasi na there is a risk of denial of visa kung same sa profession ang course na kukunin.

PNP in Alberta is mostly Employer driven.
Economy in Alberta is not that good.
I heard Manitoba is kinda OK or the Atlantic or SK.

Would like to ask for advice, tips, suggestions from everyone...

I have just been recently refused study visa along with my husband-OWP and daughter (11y.o.) study visa..
disappointing but planning to apply again this time ako na muna.

first application: online submitted in bangkok...for my next application will be applying in manila, paper based
OFW Bangkok based, been living here for 16 years. very weak ties sa pinas. my maliit kaming lot, plus stock investments and PRU accounts. any suggestions on how to make my ties stronger sa pinas?
husband works in bangkok din, 20 years na
daughter in bangkok.

program planning to take : certificate course in Early Childhood in a private college, I might change to Diploma program in a public college or university ( since I already have a Masters degree in Education though not early childhood.) is this a good idea?

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

goodluck po sir mic-mic question lang po, on your PGWP application, pasok padin po naman as dependents ung mag-ina nyo? OWP and visit visa padin ba iaaply for them? and na eextend din po ba sila based sa length ng pgwp? pasenya na po, medyo hindi pa clear sken tong part na to sa dependents once matapos tayo sa school...,marami pong salamat... Hello! Sorry late reply at medyo busy sa work (naks!) Wala pa po balita sa pgwp ko. Also, may BOWP si missis kasi naipasok na namin yung pars sa PR. Pag graduate ninyo po, kelangan ninyo ng employment letter and 3 paycheck yata under a SKILLED job para makakuha ulit ng OWP si partner ninyo po.

Regarding credit cards, mabibigyan po kayo once nag open kayo ng account dito kasimeon sila parang "new to canada" program. parang 1k lang ang limit. Liit sobra hehe Sabi ko nga, pwede ba increase at ipapakita ko mga platinum cards ng pinas. Ang yabang ko pa, sabi ko isang swipe lang yung buong tuition ko kasi maganda credit score ko sa pinas and sabi lang nila is "NO" hehe Pero ngayon, si kumander is may 3k na limit na kasi medyo tagal na work.. ako, 2k na nyahahhaha Baka in 20 years pa matapatan limit sa pinas. Sa atin kasi ang taas mag bigay ng limit e hehe

Regarding dun po sa magpapalit ng school pag dating dito, make sure na DLI yung school and publicly owned. I remember noon, may isang school nagsara and napauwi lahat ng graduates nila dahil may scam pala na ginagawa. Kaya ingat ingat din po.

I am also a SP applicant, thru online VFS Abu Dhabi. Lodged on May 29th with upfront medical. May 31st medical passed. June 2nd & 29th, application updated. No news as of this date, 7 weeks daw po ang processing. Medyo kaba sa paghihintay pero may awa ang Diyos, so staying positive. I am registered for Fall 2017.

May tanong po ako, if anyone can reply please Meron po ako existing multiple entry visa. Pwede po kaya ako pumasok ng canada kahit wala pa study permit ko? And once its approved, pwede ko po kaya submit passport ko sa Canada imigration for SP stamping or how does it go po ba? Do I need to get out maybe to US(I also have existing visa) and re-enter?

Please help me clear out my thoughts..

Pwede pumasok ng Canada? Yes. Pwede pumasok sa school? Di po kayo tatangapin hangang wala si study permit ninyo po. Possible din na baka sa border pa lang is masilip na na may study application kayo kasi same UCI number po yata yun. Ganda and efficient kasi ang database nila dito. Nung nag renew kami ng health card, alam agad nila na nag apply na kami ng PR hehe

Badetsky, lahat po ng food sa pinas, meron na dito. Best not to bring nalang po yung mga risky items para po swabe ang entry ninyo

Just my humble opinion lang po, PNPs can be halted or postponed anytime. Best is to check where the career path you will take will have lots of opportunities. Tapos base your decision doon po. I noticed lots of applicants are already thinking of their PGWP and PR already. While it's good to plan ahead, be realistic first and plan a good career path/strategy. I have 5 classmates with honors na hanggang ngayon wala pa work considering na may atleast 5 years work experience na sila sa home countries nila and speak good english. Yung dalawa sa kanila sa tim hortons nagtatrabaho, 3 months na kami graduate pero wala pa sila work. and for EE track, CEC po ang pasok ng international students so job offers are not much of a factor kasi pgwp holder po kayo by that time. UNLESS bago na ang rules ngayon which i do not read about anymore. Yung ibang co-seniors po natin is lumipat din ng provinces for better opportunities so it is not that wise to tie your decision sa province po.

thank you so much for that suggestion. magandang idea nga po ung mag-specialize ako kaya diploma ang kukunin ko. engineering (ece) din po ang bachelor ko. ang master degree ko po medyo nalihis pero may touch pa din ng communication..

kailangan ko na po agad i-state sa SOP ang health condition ni husband kahit na ang plan ko ay ako lang muna ang magfile ng study permit application? ang plan ko po sana ia-apply ko lang po si husband ng owp after ma-approve ng study permit. or gagawa pa din po ako ng another SOP pag ia-apply ko si husband ng owp?

Apply by yourself if possible po and then kung gusto ninyo isama si spouse, saka ninyo siya ipa apply. If student po kayo, i think mandatory sa lahat ng school na kumuha ng insurance. Pwede ninyo po ipadadgdag si mister ninyo in the future. And just to keep positive, meron nga po tayo member dito na may butas sa puso, pero na approve sa 2nd try niya.

Keep in mind though that typical insurance only covers medicine, some dental, some shoes and eyeglasses yata. Best is to have your husband work and on his third month, pwede na kayo magka health card kasi hindi cover ng school insurance ang check up ng doctor

Would it be advisable ba na mauna mag-apply ng student permit si Student. Then, once ma-approve un, isunod na application ng OWP ni Spouse and isama ang kids? Mas mataas po ba chances na ma-approve pag ganon ang ginawa?

And gaano po katagal ang processing ng OWP for spouse as well as ung sa mga bata?

Hi po ulit sa lahat.hihingi sana ako ulit ng advice regarding SOP and proofs of funds.

I am not sure how will I mention the proof of funds in my SOP. My brother sent me the moni needed for 1 yr expenses and 1 yr tuition. Do i have to tell it in my SOP? Since he provided his savings to me, he has only like 4k in his account and he is my sponsor in Canada, nandun kasi sya... just want to be cautious lg po pra ma convince nmn yung visa officer.

Best is to mention the funds especially kung ang majority ng laman ni account is yung galing sa brother ninyo po. Mas ok din po kung tumagal sana ng 6 months yung pera sa inyo. Otherwise, basta po maganda ang explanation and may sulat sa kapatid ninyo, ok naman dapat po yun. Ako po walang natarize ni isang document noon.
