Hi!!
I'm newbie here and a silent reader...d ko pa tapos yung binabasa ko so I'm still back reading.
I applied in GEORGE BROWN COLLEGE last November 17, 2016; Got my LOA February 8, 2017 thru email that will expire in April 7, 2017. (health informations management)
I'm still completing the requirements and isa pang nakapagpa bagal is yung passport ng husband ko expired pala so kumuha ako appointment sa dfa baguio for march 15,2017 renewal. after 10 working days pa bago makuha.
he is one of my sponsor and his uncle.
I'm planning to apply online and isabay na yung husband ko at 5 year old son ko,
question:
1. a 5 year old son general visitor ba?
2. I graduated as a nurse work few years then turned businesswoman. been unemployed as a nurse for almost 10years, is it a high chance of refusal with connection to my course?
3. yung credit card my credit limit so I'm planning to pay the 1st semester tuition fee by multiple transaction with different credit card to George brown, will there be a problem? ($7000 cad)
thank u po sa mga sasagot.
For a dependent of the applicant, he will be issued a temporary resident visa (TRV).
For your husband it is the same, but he will get an open work permit and you will get a student permit.
He can work full time and you can work 20hrs/week.
You have a gap there therefore you have to give an explanation why such a gap. You need to explain it in your SOP.
Doesn't matter how you pay it but if they don't ask for it then don't pay it until you have a visa.
This is school specific so you need to coordinate with the school.
[2002] Grad as a nurse
[2002-2005] Work as a nurse
[2005-2009]
4yrs Unexplained Gap
[2009 -2012] 3yrs education in UK
[2012] went home because pregnant
[2013 - 2017] own water station and laundry shop
This is a difficult case because
a) you have a 4yrs unexplained gap of education and work
b) your current work, which is in business, is not related to the course that you will take here in Canada
c) you will be bringing your family with you which will add the suspicion because you will have a weak ties in your country
d) you already start your education in UK why will you try Canada instead of finishing your education in UK - Visa officer will think like this
e) in case you did not get your permanent resident status after your PGWP how can you assure the VO that you will return to the Philippines and you will not stay without a status here in Canada?
You don't have a work waiting for you in the Philippines. (Medical related)
Suggestions
- Maybe try a different course (education) that is related to your current work and explain well how that education will help your business.
Your nursing education have 15yrs gap and you have to explain these gaps. Apply alone so that you will have a strong tie to the Philippines and then apply TRV for your family later when you arrive in Canada.
- Get a good immigration consultant from Canada with specialty in student visa. Yours is a difficult case and its not a walk in the park.
