Pero ung smin po ng father ko, savings po namin un since before pa.. mine is from my income (OFW po ako until last year) and ung kay father po is from his retirement benefits noon sa old compny nya..

question:

1. a 5 year old son general visitor ba?

2. I graduated as a nurse work few years then turned businesswoman. been unemployed as a nurse for almost 10years, is it a high chance of refusal with connection to my course?

3. yung credit card my credit limit so I'm planning to pay the 1st semester tuition fee by multiple transaction with different credit card to George brown, will there be a problem? ($7000 cad)
Hi!

1) sorry I am not familiar with bringing kids over, so maybe the other posters here can help you.
2) medyo challenging yung background mo, kasi nurse ka by profession and you are taking health info management, pero you have been a businesswoman for the past years. Ano yung business mo? Is it related to healthcare? I think you would have better chances of applying as an entrepreneur than as a nurse, and I suggest you do that. but I have no idea kung ano yung business mo.
3) nope, no problem with that at all :) I've paid my tuition that way for the past two semesters

Hi!!
I'm newbie here and a silent reader...d ko pa tapos yung binabasa ko so I'm still back reading.

I applied in GEORGE BROWN COLLEGE last November 17, 2016; Got my LOA February 8, 2017 thru email that will expire in April 7, 2017. (health informations management)

I'm still completing the requirements and isa pang nakapagpa bagal is yung passport ng husband ko expired pala so kumuha ako appointment sa dfa baguio for march 15,2017 renewal. after 10 working days pa bago makuha.

he is one of my sponsor and his uncle.

I'm planning to apply online and isabay na yung husband ko at 5 year old son ko,

question:

1. a 5 year old son general visitor ba?

2. I graduated as a nurse work few years then turned businesswoman. been unemployed as a nurse for almost 10years, is it a high chance of refusal with connection to my course?

thank u po sa mga sasagot. :)
For a dependent of the applicant, he will be issued a temporary resident visa (TRV).
For your husband it is the same, but he will get an open work permit and you will get a student permit.
He can work full time and you can work 20hrs/week.

You have a gap there therefore you have to give an explanation why such a gap. You need to explain it in your SOP.

Doesn't matter how you pay it but if they don't ask for it then don't pay it until you have a visa.
This is school specific so you need to coordinate with the school.

[2002] Grad as a nurse
[2002-2005] Work as a nurse
[2005-2009] 4yrs Unexplained Gap
[2009 -2012] 3yrs education in UK
[2012] went home because pregnant
[2013 - 2017] own water station and laundry shop

This is a difficult case because
a) you have a 4yrs unexplained gap of education and work
b) your current work, which is in business, is not related to the course that you will take here in Canada
c) you will be bringing your family with you which will add the suspicion because you will have a weak ties in your country
d) you already start your education in UK why will you try Canada instead of finishing your education in UK - Visa officer will think like this
e) in case you did not get your permanent resident status after your PGWP how can you assure the VO that you will return to the Philippines and you will not stay without a status here in Canada?
You don't have a work waiting for you in the Philippines. (Medical related)

Suggestions
- Maybe try a different course (education) that is related to your current work and explain well how that education will help your business.
Your nursing education have 15yrs gap and you have to explain these gaps. Apply alone so that you will have a strong tie to the Philippines and then apply TRV for your family later when you arrive in Canada.

- Get a good immigration consultant from Canada with specialty in student visa. Yours is a difficult case and its not a walk in the park.

Exempted ang Phil for NAIT English Requirements for the program 2017-2018. Have you applied in NAIT too?
Hi yes apply palang, nainis ako ng kaonti sa agency when they told me I have to take the test daw before nila ma submit yun documents ko for school acceptance sana, that is why I sent them the link from naits website. Sa nait ka din miss Julie? :)

Patatawagan ko sana sa cousin ko yun school eh so I will know directly from them but from what I've read exempted naman but after din Siguro ng evaluation nila. Still hoping tho na it's true since this will not only save us money but our time and effort na din.

Are they talking about IELTS?
There are 2 kinds of IELTS test.
1 is General and the other is Academic.
If the school requires you, you have to provide academic.
If they dont and said "Oh, just give us a proof that English was used as a medium of instruction then that would suffice"
The General is like if you are applying for the Express Entry program and they want to know your skill of English in general.
If they require it "pagdating" mo saka mo kunin. EILTS rates are international all over the world so same price din yun.
2 tinulungan ko both did not get IELTS and they are fine.
Siguro sanay sila nagaassist ng PR applications.
It's not a 1 shoe fits it all.

Hi kapatid! Yes we are talking about IELTS. Mine is Academic since I plan to study dyan sa Edmonton so prior pa sa decision ko na magpa assist sa agency, I emailed NAIT and inquired about english test kase I found out we are exempted if you are from the Philippines and perhaps after documents evaluation.

What if ilagay nalang natin na ma suffice ko nga ang Nait pero pag dating ko doon, hihingan tlaga ako even when they said na sufficient na yun proof ko? I mean I don't mind if I take it there, my point is sabi kase ng consultant eh I should take ielts before we can submit our documents for evaluation para sa school acceptance. Ang gusto ko sana *pwede bang e try muna mag acquire ng school acceptance and if they say *this student needs to take ielts/PTE etc doon nalang sana ako mag ta take. But my consultant refused, I kinda regret nagpa assist pa ako, when I can do it by myself sana. Tsk

Sabi nya mahal daw doon ang ielts fee.

Hi Ms Maya. Yap nag apply ako sa NAIT and they did not asked for IELTS after receiving my TOR. Base the MyNAIT Portal ko all required fields to be met or subject requirements to be met are initiated na. Meaning english, math and science requirements are all will be assessed based on my TOR. Also my uncle who submitted personally my credentials sa NAIT told me na hindi na nanghihingi ng IELTS test si NAIT so good to go na yung application ko sa school. As of now, no update pa sa student portal ko. Sabi ng school within 4 weeks daw result ng assessment. My uncle submitted my TOR and paid the international student assessment fee last Feb 23. :)

I advice you do it yourself Ms. Maya. Submit your original TOR sa NAIT thru FedEx. it will only take 3-5 business days and pooooof! andun na sa kanila agad. they will post in your student portal yung assessment fee na kelangan mong bayaran within 10 days para maassess nila yung credentials mo. if not paid after 10 days of the receipt of your TOR in NAIT then your application will be cancelled. Pay it thru credit card.

Ako kasi i have a relative sa fort sask na nag aassist sa application ko sa school so i just sent it to him then sya na personally nagbigay sa school at nagbayad ung 75 CAD na assessment fee. then sa portal na lang ako nagchecheck ng updates

hahah How much did you pay them?
This "consultant" doesn't even know what they are doing.
Yes you can do it with enough research if your case is simple.

IELTS exam is $300 and in pesos, that's P11,200.
In Philippines that's P9,780. It's only P1,420 difference.
Di ko alam kung mamamahalan ka sa P1,420 difference na yan.
If you took it there in the Phil and you don't really need it you just lost P9,780 + time.
IELTs is school to school basis and the officer at the port-of-entry doesn't even look for it.

Hi everyone,

I was new to this forum and i found it really helpful to anyone who seek answer to their concern. I myself have lot of Q's relevant to this topic. That is why joining a forum like this could somehow equip me with new information as people here are willing to share their timeline, application status, update etc.

By the way, with pertains to police certificate acquisition is there really a need to seek police clearance if you will apply for SP? I am a former OFW from K.S.A for nearly 6 years from 2005-2011 afterwards i stayed in Philippines up to present. It was quite hard to get a police cert. from a country that you do not have anyone in connection since long time. I hope someone could enlighten me :)thnx

Hi, I am silent reader here, applied online. Salamat po sa mga seniors, hoping you could help me.

We paid them 50k already and then another 25k pag na submit na yung papers/application sa immigration. It's been a month and a week na. I am done with getting the requirements last month pa and now he wants me to take IELTS before we could submit my docs for school acceptance.

I sent him the link from NAITs and still insist that I should take it even if they dont require it. I mean what's the point? And I agree with you, we are talking about money and time here so why take it if Hindi naman pala kailangan? Tsk
