I worked in an airport (PAL) two years ago, transit without visa (TWOV) is definitely not allowed in USA (paulitulit nireremind ng supervisors namin yan), you will become an inadmissible passenger and will be sent back to your country of origin right away. If may valid USA tourist visa (B1/B2) ka then by all means transit to USA wala problema yun. Regarding about Taiwan and Japan, yes, you can TWOV on those two countries. Just make sure in Japan you'll be transiting in the same station, kasi if not and you don't have a Japan visa, they will issue you a shore pass which I don't know how long it will take to process. Probably it's fast kasi Japan yun pero I won't risk it kasi kasi you'll have to pick-up your luggage pa, travel by land and re-check in for your flight. Ang hassle pero may gumagawa nyan, yung iba di na nila chinecheck yung flight details and binobook nalang kasi mura. I do not recommend this kasi hassle.

For China allowed din magTWOV pero there's only one city na pwede i-check thru ang baggage. Parang PEK (Beijing) ata yun if I'm not mistaken. Pag sa ibang airport station ka nagTWOV you will have to pick-up your luggage and re-check in again (airline employees knows this naman, kaya lang in my experience may iba paring agents na nalilimutan at nagkakamali so in the end nawawala yung bagahe ng pasahero). This information is from 2 years ago, laging may pagbabago sa travel rules kaya airline agents always checks the TIMATIC (Travel Information Manual Automatic) lalo na pag marami connecting flight si pasahero. Pero I just recently traveled sa USA kaya I'm confident na you can TWOV sa China, Taiwan and Japan.
thanks po, buti nalang may pamilyar sa rules dito and nagwork sa airline hehehe. so taiwan/china/japan/korea ok po TWOV? as long as same airport at hindi lilipat ng airport

I would still err you to be careful and just choose flights na via non visa requiring countries. It is less stress especially pag first trip mo, which you will be bringing a lot of things pa, unless ang goal mo ay mag gala talaga.

Im just basing my recommendation off my horrible jetstar nightmare and I never want to fly across 5 stops again.

Ps. Read your letter, andun lahat ng kailangan mong info you just need to browse it again.

Thank you for the response! Since I'm already in the hospitality industry, my plan is to just continue that path nalang and not venture on a totally new one (even though I wanted to). So you mean kung ano yung tinapos mo sa Canada related dapat dun yung makuha mong job even though I have a degree na in the Philippines? And in Canada marami ng Psychology graduates pala?

I just thought na taking Psychology will strengthen my chances in applying for a pgwpp in the hospitality sector since it's a bit related in that field in the sence na you are mostly dealing with people. Plus, I'll be aiming to finish a 2nd degree but this time around in Canada. I also thought na hospitality is a common field in Canada (much like USA) but since I will have a Canadian degree, Canadian employers would prefer to hire me rather than those who studied for a hospitality management/business administration diploma. I have other courses in mind na gusto ko talaga pagaralan kaya lang sobrang layo na sa natapos ko sa Pilipinas and baka mahirapan pa ako magexplain kung bakit ako magbabago ng career path that's why ultimately I decided to take Psych.

Grabe ganun pala kahirap sa Canada maghanap ng job offer? I'm a bit confident nung una kasi I did well in USA, I became a front desk supervisor in a high-end ski resort after 6 months and won a couple of awards despite being a J1 visa holder only. I thought magiging advantage yun kahit papano in finding a hotel/resort related work in Canada kaya lang complicated pala talaga. I actually have a local agency and I already passed all the requirements except for the upfront medical which I plan to finish by next week. The goal is to leave for Canada on April or May. I guess if hindi papalarin I'll apply for a job nalang muna here in PH then try again next time.
Sa Nz kasi they have a rule that if your occupation does not fall under a branch of the long or short term skills, your job is considered low skilled. A lot of westerners take up courses like psych cause it is interesting, mas maganda if you take up something more in line with the hospitality field such as a masters or something under the skilled work classifications ng canada.

You want to avoid kasi taking up a course that would leave you at a dead end and though psych is fun madami ang nag ttake neto. This is not the most credible source but here it is anyway http://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/college-degrees-dime-dozen-anymore.html/?a=viewall

Hi guys! Has any one experienced getting asked for fbi clearance?
nag submit kasi ako ng application last dec 14 then just yesterday i was asked for it kasi nagstay daw po ako sa US for 12 mons. Need ko daw ibigay with in 30 days pero pag check ko sa fbi waiting time is 14 to 16 weeks. Will thjs hugely affect my application for refusal? .
Nalito po ako ano gagawin ..
Pls any one na may idea or experience pls pm me..
Yes, unfortunately, I think the new thing now is your stay abroad is now commulative. Dati yata basta naka 6 months straight ka, kelangan mo ng fbi clearance, ngayon batsa naka 60 months or more in total na. Kami din kailangan ng FBI clearance and I suggest you do it asap and notify the VO that it takes around 3 months now to get it especially that you are not in the US. Kailangan din namin sa mga ibang bansa :'(

peej, congrats! It was worth the wait! Pag hawak mo na ulit passport mo, bili ka na ticket na one way tapos mag empake ka na and bisitahin mo na lahat ng mga mamimiss mo. Kainin mo na lahat ng fave pinoy food mo and resto hehe

en999, usually po students study abroad to upgrade from what education they have UNLESS yun po diploma na aaralin ninyo is wala sa atin. For example, sa NZ meron diploma course na viticulture which is wala sa pinas so ok lang if may bachelors ka na tapos mababa sa bachelors ang aaralin mo :)

Hello! I would like to make a downpayment for my tuition but my bank said I would need to open a dollar account and should maintain a specific amount of money. Additionally, we would like to lodge pur application next week and the bank mentioned that holding period is about 8-10 days. Any other ways to send the payment?

So sorry to hear :( pero mas qualified ata ung seniors mag answer kasi d pa naman ako nag wwork but then here is my 2cents anyways.

Assets: try to include land, car, or any other assets you and your hubby might have.
Try mo isunod si hubby: try applying first then sunod nalang sya if ever.

You could try applying again, but then explicitly try stating that hubby needs to be with you as to not put physicial distance between you and him (but then mas effective to with lots of assets + money) i cant remember the computation but i think it was something like 12k CAD + tuition + 2000?
thank you, Synder.
pwede po ba e attached ko and house and lot title ng parents in law ko? wala talaga kaming ibang asset maliban sa cash in bank na show funds naming.
