ako binayaran ko 1st sem ko, CAD11,200

discretion ng VO kasi yan, syempre mas malaki naibayad mo mas ok

Yes, I agree and it's not part naman sa condition sa LOA na dapat bayaran muna so I guess, in my case OK lang kahit downpayment lang.

Thank ypu, Peej!

Me ;D

This was in 2015 so I don't know if the rules changed though ;)

I think it depends on school and agency talaga. Yung consultant ko kasi would want to make my application to look great kaya siguro pinu-push nya. Salamat mic-mic :)

Paying it upfront shows na locked in na commitment mo eh. If you have the means naman wala mawawala (unless declined ka and nag pa refund) if you pay a portion of your fees.

Most schools offer installments so check if you could pay the first installment m.

Hahaha i think it depends sa school. Ako i paid my entire first sem na after even though d ko sila ininform na me visa nako

i think you need to inform the school once you have landed Canada. You will send documents thru email such as visa and permit :)

For me kumuha ka muna ng bank statemnt before you pay your downpayment para di mabawasan yung money mo sa bank :) then after you received your bank requirements saka mo na bayran yung downpayment sa school. Kasi madami din na dedeny dahil sa lack of funds kaya just to make sure kuha muna bank then bayad hehe

Who among of you here got a visa approval even without paying tuition fee or downpayment? I got my LOA but it says that the deadline of payment is still in June. Thanks in advance sa mga mag-rereply! :)

Nope hindi sya necessary. Pero it will help in bolstering your case na intention mo talaga mag-aral dito. Usually schools have a reservation fee to hold your seat, and that will be deducted from your first sem tuition when u pay na. I paid initially around CAD2k tas yung balance pagdating ko na dito.

As for the financial requirements for the visa, I still presented the whole amount even if I paid the deposit. Sigurista lang ako

Pero no it's not a requirement to pay your school agad to get your visa

Take a look also on how the process of refunding is. May mga nabasa ako noon na horror stories kaya hindi ako nag bayad until may visa na ako, but I made sure that I have convincing financials and travel history during the time of application :)

Patulong po,

na refused po ako last Jan.25, 2017 due to the following reasons.

x family ties in Canada and in country of residence
x purpose of visit
x other reason: Not satisfied that you are a bona fide student & would depart Canada at end of your authoirzed stay.

Yes hahaha you should have read the requirements carefully before you applied, it states that you will need a police clearance for every country you have been in for 6 months (? Not sure sa time) or more since the age of 18. Still try requesting for one though malay mo may miracle na mangyari. Also i advise you in the event that you cant make it to just submit what you have eg your current nbi clearance and just say you applied and you are waiting for your fbi clearance.

So sorry to hear :( pero mas qualified ata ung seniors mag answer kasi d pa naman ako nag wwork but then here is my 2cents anyways.

Assets: try to include land, car, or any other assets you and your hubby might have.
Try mo isunod si hubby: try applying first then sunod nalang sya if ever.

You could try applying again, but then explicitly try stating that hubby needs to be with you as to not put physicial distance between you and him (but then mas effective to with lots of assets + money) i cant remember the computation but i think it was something like 12k CAD + tuition + 2000?

Hi everyone! New here. I'm still on the process of backreading and there are really a lot of helpful tips here. Hopefully I can contribute once makapasa. I'm a BS HRM graduate, worked in PH for less than 2 years after that I worked in USA for a year on a J1 visa. I just got back from USA then I immediately applied for a study in canada program. Usually people will study a postgraduate degree diploma pero I really wanted to have a double degree kaya I went for Psychology instead, kaya lang I'll be studying an associate's degree in a regional college muna since I can't afford yet to study in a university. Sana hindi ito makaaffect sa application ko. Any tips for me?
