So I just got cleared on my medicals and was x-rayed 5 times kasi may nakita daw na suspicious sa lungs ko (infection that could lead to TB) but it turns out to be just a blood vessel. Sabi ng physician ko, the embassy could still ask for another check if hindi na-satisfy ang visa officer. Safe parin ba ako magpa-x-ray? Kasi sabi ng mom ko dapat di na daw ako nag-agree magpa-x-ray ng more than twice.

Bryheartpizza, can I ask on what school did you enrol na hindi nag-require ng IELTS? I am also planning to study in Canada kaya lang hindi pa ako nakapag-IELTS.

I enrolled in SAIT. Actually they would still require IELTS pero English ang main language of instruction sa university ko so nagpasa na lang ako ng certificate para ma-exempt ako.

Hi,

Mas maganda po bang magapply online or paper based? Im going to submit my application soon pero hindi ko kasi sure kung ano mas mabilis sa dalawa. Nagpa upfront medical exam na ako, im just waiting for the result of my sputum exam kasi nagkaroon ako ng problem sa xray ko. Also, kapag online ba nagpasa dapat makikita nila na notarized ang documents or maski hindi na?

Thank you so much!

hi aldousclark im no authority just another brother trying to help out...

i believe both online and paper based application pareho lang ang processing time which is within 9 weeks. Merong mga na aaprove ng one month meron din nmn mas matagal it all depends kung gaano ka organized and well made ang application, specially sa SOP part. One advantage na nakita ko sa mga applicants who used online kapag nagkaproblema ang application at na reject , like nakalimutan mag attach ng NBI na reason, mas madali na lang mag resubmit coz you can simply scan it and email it sa cic account mo. on the other hand, kapag paper based ka kelangan mo ba mag resend ulit using snail mail or personal na pupunta sa VFS to resubmit. Just my two cents. :)

no need to notarize lahat ng documents mo unless needed (like letter of support) just make sure clear ung mga copies mo at tama ang pag compress mo sa file para readable mag nireview ng VO.
good luck sa application :)

Hi Denden86,

Thank you so much! I might do online nalang para mas convenient. :) Also, i have another question. Balak kasi sumama sakin ng spouse ko via open work permit. Gusto ko lang po malaman kung anong mga docments ang kelangan nyang ipasa at kung kelangan nya ba ng sariling SOP.

Been reading this thread for a while and really learned a lot from those who applied and granted the SP who have been generous enough to share their experiences. Kudos to you guys!

Just like everyone else, I'm also planning to apply for SP but am still awaiting my LOA. Am already starting preparing for the needed requirements and I would like to ask for a sample of Affidavit of Support and SOP please. Thanks!

You need to get accepted to a school first. And make sure it's not a private school.

Hi ☺

You can visit your school's website regarding their admission process. Most schools also reply promptly when u email them. Kapag international student, TOR and IELTS mostly ang hinahanap, wala ng exam, but you can double check.

Regarding paying tuition naman eh mas maganda na bayaran na yung 1 whole year kasi you can include it sa list of documents na isusubmit mo sa cic.

Hope this help.
