Hi! Actually Humber yung first choice ko sa Ontario kaya lang ganyan din nangyari sa akin -- I sent my application. I got a notice of acceptance naman plus they deducted the application fee from my credit card. Kaya lang when I was asking them for my LoA, it took them a looooooooong time to reply, despite repeated e-mails, phone calls to their international number, twitter, FB lol ... they eventually sent it to me pero wala na, na-turn off na ako.

If you dont mind, ano na chosen school mo? Im considering centennial actually kasi pwede magcommute from Mississauga to Progress Ave by Gotransit mga $20 balikan. So medyo ok na din. But ofcourse mas ok Masters un lang madugo kasi I need to stay out from my bro house tpos food etc pa.

Iniisip ko lang kung pano makakalusot sa visa regarding sa study plan ko. why post not masters?

yep, Centennial, hopefully this May 2015. I'm filing my application tomorrow! :D
Namamahalan kasi ako sa Masters saka one year program lang mostly, di ba?

I think hindi naman problema kung mag postgrad ka kasi yung bachelor's degree natin is not really recognized by Canadian employers - at least that's the impression I got from the people who got successful student visa sa forum. All you need is to have a really strong SOP.

Kinakabahan na nga ako eh, kasi ako lang gumawa lahat ng application ko pati SOP ko ehehe. *fingers crossed*

Wow, dapat pala schoolmates tayo if ever! :D They took a week to respond to my application and then another 3-4 weeks to email the offer letter. Just now they said the "Welcome Package" is on its way. I have no idea what that is but it sounds very welcoming :D :D :D I also visited Sheridan, Seneca and Centennial and felt that Humber has the most suitable program for me. Atsaka mas ok ang experience ko sa kanila during the campus tours. Facilities wise, it depends on whch program you will take. :)

Nagandahan din ako sa campus ng Humber from what I saw sa website nila / online reviews. Doon ako na-turn off sa sobrang tagal nilang mag-reply na unreasonable na in my case.

sobrang tagal talaga. until now wala pang malinaw na reply sakin. Mahirap pag ganyan kasi kulang sila sa support team.

^^ yay, tipsy, may kasama na rin ako sa Toronto, if ever!
Also since medyo tight na ang timeline ng application ko, baka sa September na ako makapunta, but I'm really hoping makahabol ako for May.

Yeah, timing pa ako nun sa Humber na start ng September intake kaya understaffed sila. Walang sumasagot sa International Centre nila. Baka nga kulang sa support staff

Ako kasi I applied very early and alanagn yung timing kaya siguro napabilis :) Pag start na kasi ng pasukan, you will see how overwhelming ang influx ng mga international students sa International student center kaya kahit phone hindi masagot ;D I visited the school twice. Once way before school starts and the other a week before it started. Grabe sa gulo hehe The same goes for the other colleges when we were there. I just had to personally see the schools before I give them my money :D

Scorpio, I just like to ask about the NBI clearance. Sa Friday pa lang kasi ako kukuha. What did you mean about "3 months before" ang NBI clearance?

Ah, you have to get it 3 months or less before you file your application. So kung this month ka mag-apply, dapat you should have gotten your NBI in November onwards. If you got your NBI in October or September (like me), di siya tatanggapin (actually they will accept it but will not assure you that it won't affect your application)

Nainis nga ako eh kasi wala naman sa documents checklist or anywhere yung requirement na yon, tas biglang sumulpot sa pag-file ko. Nasa listahan daw from CIC Manila. I guess yun yung advantage pag may agency ka because they would know these things. I did everything on my own kasi.

Also, the exact amount of the manager's check should be P5,760 if you're paying in peso.

Did you apply online? So you mean your NBI clearance cannot be older than 3 months prior to your application right? Buti nalang pala hinuli ko yung NBI clearance. I'll get it this Friday and then Lodge my application nextweek if wala pa si Ryerson. Right now kasi Psych dept pa lang ang nagpapadala ng results :D

Can you share the application process? Did you pay the school prior to applying or you just confirmed the offer letter? I don't see anything kasi stating na when applying, kelangan nagayad na sa school :)

^^nope, punta talaga ako sa NBI satellite office here in Cebu. Natagalan lang sa akin kasi may "HIT" ako. Okay na yung sa yo since you got it right before you filed for your application.
Mas matagal ata if you are applying to university or a master's program eh, madami pang screenings.

Well, after I got my letter of acceptance, I paid the first semester fees lang. Pero you're right, wala naman talagang naka-state na kailangan magbayad. Ginawa ko lang to signify my intent to study in the school.

I'll post a list of the documents I submitted after I finish filing :)
