Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

hello everyone,

nakakatuwa and inspiring yung forum na ito sa mga aspiring students going to canada. I almost back read yung mga post and planning to apply student visa soon.

I hope anyone can help me and answer my question or sort of advice po.

1) i'm about to apply student visa for myself and my girlfriend (common law partner). question lang po. ano po ba yung iapply ko OWP and TRV separate forms po ba yun? nalilito lang po ako kung dapat ba sabay or isa lang ang need iapply for her? Please po paki clear sa akin ito.

2) advisable po ba na Magtake muna ko ng IELTS before sending email sa mga schools na gusto ko? Meron akong nabasa dito na accepted sila sa school then to follow na lang yung IELTS result? iniicip ko po kase na mas easy to search schools and apply then after nlng yung IELTS.

3) Father ko po yung mag ssponsor ng finances namen since idea nya na pag aralin ako uli after studying last 2008 sa UST BS COMMERCE; so ittransfer lang yung proof of funds nya sa akin this week for 10k Cad and 4k girlfriend ko (common law partner) then the rest bank funds and assets ng father ko. tanong lang po, massatisfy po ba kaya ang VO sa application ng partner ko knowing na mag ssupport halos is yung father ko? need din po ba ng statutory union form for us aside from OWP and TWP?

So take muna ako ng Ielts then choose school or provinces after. What I plan sana is sa BC or Alberta colleges or universities. Ive heard kasi na super expensive ng housing s BC lalo na sa Vancouver, eh wala naman ako relatives dun so mahirap for me baka maubos savings namen ng father ko.

as a common law partner, what we can provide is joint account, joint asset which is isa lang, wala pa akong mga bills or utilities kasi nasa parents ko kami tumitira pero mga pictures and other stuffs na mag papatunay meron naman. yung sakin kc, emotional and presence nya ung need ko kaya ko sya gsto isama.

i might take chances na lang cgro. btw, do you know what are the forms do i need to submit sa cic, for my partner? just in case. trv, statutory common law form, ang owp ba kailangan ko pa ifill up? wla naman balak for the meantime mag work ang partner ko.

pede ka ng umalis dis july, but i suggest ang poe mo ay ab kung un ang univ mo baka maquestion k kung bc ang poe mo. then magtravel k nlng to bc by train or plane ata. for your safekeep s poe officer.

Hi everyone. Has anyone tried applying online recently? I was able to upload all my documents already at the CIC website but I cannot make payment for 150 CAD student permit fee. It has been like 8 failed payment attempts. It keeps on saying "PAYMENT FAILED." I'm pretty sure that there is nothing wrong with the card I'm using to make the payment but why is it that it's not working? Also, I was wondering what ADDRESS is to be put in there once you make the payment? Is it the Address of the cardholder, or the destination in canada, or the CIC address in Canada? Any advice you guys can give me? Thanks in advance. God bless y'all !

I have a friend who just applied this week, he had no problems doing so.

The address should be the one on your billing statement, the name should exactly be the one on your card. I hope it works.

I would advise you to carry all the documents you passed during your application for visa. Maybe place them all in a clear book. Because when the IO interviewed me, she asked for my proof of funds.

Hi everyone! iamvenus how are you doing there? Looks like you're well adjusted now anyway, I did your advise, placed all in a clear book, we arrived last night and everything went better than expected Well except for the long queue at immigration. The IO didn't ask anything, she's very accommodating.
