Hi. I filed my application sa vfs ng april 9. Lbc messaged me nung april 9 that my application was delivered pero hanggang ngayon no email from vfs aknowledging my application. I just want to ask kelan ba mageemail ung vfs? Thanks

Hello! So far, I just received one email from them informing me that I have filed my application at their office and an application number was included. I thought I was going to receive another email when they already sent my application to CEM but they didn't. You didn't get an email with your application number? You should, so you could track your application online. Call them for cofirmation.

Hi dbc how were you notified na natransfer na application mo? Thanksss

Hi, when I submitted my application at vfs, they told me that they will forward it on the 17th.
I agree with iamvenus, try to call vfs if they have already received your application.

Greetings Everyone...

I am a newbie here in this forum... and I feel so lucky to see this site... =)

I'm planning to get a Student Permit... But I'm quite old...30+

Is there anyone here choose to enroll in Manitoba particularly Winnipeg Technical College or Red River College? I am thinking to have a post graduate international business diploma? Please advise. Thanks a lot.

On the other hand, I noticed most of the SP visas approved no longer than 12 weeks but in CIC websites it statess there visa's processing in Philippines will be 12 weeks.... (maximum processing time po ba un?)

Nope, it is the average processing time ...
Initial Response - 15 working days plus delivery time
Finalization - consult the actual processing times for study permit applications ( CEM) for the last 12 months.

It is recommended to submit the application 2 months before the intended departure date. The processing delays may occur if a medical examination, an interview or additional documents are required. If provisionally accepted, medical examinations are usually required;

Medical Examination Results: Processing Times
Average processing time*
Cases where only a first medical examination is required - 15 working days (3 weeks) from the date of medical examination
Cases where a further, more detailed medical examination is required - 4 months or more from the date of medical examination

I had my medical exam today at SLEC Global. That's what they told me, too. Although, hopeful that it'll be forwarded earlier than that. They said naman that's the latest.

Naka-add pa pala kami ng mga nurses doon ng Php2,765 for the hepatitis panel dahil sa previous exposure namin sa hospital. So, kung nurses kayo, prepare nalang. =)

Hi! Do you happen to know if SLEC global already forwarded your MR to CEM? They always say within 3-4 weeks whenever I inquire, >:(

Thanks, I hope and pray na we'll all receive the good news next week :)

@dbc... thanks a lot for all the valuable information...
I'll be starting to submit my application to RRC next week...
If luckily I'll be accepted by RRC only then I can lodge my SP application...
Wishing good luck to all of us... =)

Good vibes lang lagi... =) May God bless us all... Aja! =)

I haven't tried calling them regarding medical exam. I already figured they would tell me that they will send them in within 3-4 weeks because before I left SLEC Global, I kept asking about it whether 3-4 weeks is the latest or when's the earliest possible, if they aren't any abnormal results. I was kind of annoying, actually. Hahaha! But still they told me 3-4 weeks. I'm really hoping our applications will be forwarded earlier than that.

Hi iamvenus and dbc. Thank you for your replies God bless. I'll try to call vfs on monday. :)

Hi there! Can you tell us more about your profile (i.e. Work experience, ielts, college or university?) we may be able to contribute... :)

Hi guys, I have a quick question for those who have already gone through the process of getting the student visa.
As I understand, you need to submit your passport with all your documents for application. Just wanted to know at what step during the process do you get it back?

This is because I have already planned a trip to Korea in October this year and I need my passport. I am planning to send in my student permit application by July - do I have enough time to get it back before October? If not, I might just have to skip the trip?

Thanks in advance for all your help

well no work experience (well i did 200 hrs of On the Job Training but that was worthless not related to my studies)

just finished my Bachelors of science in computer science (Informatics college - international school has over 24 campuses around the world main one is based in singapore = might get some extra points here)

ielts = R-7.5 L-8 S-6.5 W-6.5 Overall 7
im 23 y/o if that matter, indian nationality but born and raised in philippines
I was thinking of taking my masters in com sci

I would love a co op program
no GRE
Ielts is the only test i took

I would post my transcript but I have not gotten it yet
I am not low on funds but also I would avoid absurdly high tuition

This is my timeline. :)

Filed online application:.... 24 Apr 2014
Medical request:............. 27 April 2014
