Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

hi dbc! I had my ME at SLEC Ermita. I haven't heard any updates pa nga eh, I am wondering din ano ang timelines ng pagsubmit ng results from clinic to CIC. Does anyone here know?

Hi! I called slec global a while ago, they said 3-4 weeks, whoa! ganun ba talaga katagal!!? But I doubt it, from what I've read here in the forum, results were being forwarded within a week (@slec), at IOM medyo matagal ata. Honestly, medyo nakaka stress

Hey zac! Did you include an NBI clearance in any of the forms you uploaded online? It's not on my personalized checklist but I was wondering if they're still going to ask for it later on. All my docs are ready; I'm just waiting for the funding letter from my professor.

I had my medical exam today at SLEC Global. That's what they told me, too. Although, hopeful that it'll be forwarded earlier than that. They said naman that's the latest.

Naka-add pa pala kami ng mga nurses doon ng Php2,765 for the hepatitis panel dahil sa previous exposure namin sa hospital. So, kung nurses kayo, prepare nalang. =)

Hey Scott! No I did not because it wasn't in my checklist too. I have secured one though, just in case I will be required for it later on.

hello star619! wala pa pong updates, ang sabi kasi sa SLEC they will just forward the results of my ME sa CIC pero wala naman sinabing timelines. I have yet to research kung ano ung trend.
I submitted the following on top of the required forms:

Proof of Means of Financial Support: bank certificate, scanned passbooks, pay stubs, employment letter, proof of payment of tuition, tax reports, letter of my aunt saying that I will be staying at their house during the time I'm attending school
Passport or Travel Document: scanned pages of my passport showing all stamps of exit/entry to countries visited, visas (expired and not expired), bio page
Letter of Acceptance from the University. They issued me a Status Letter indicating my status and that I have been accepted for the program and that the status letter was issued for visa application.
Letter of Explanation aka Statement of Purpose as to why I am applying for the Study Permit

ayun lang po ung ni-add ko na mga documents, I am getting anxious everyday nga din eh, although I think nothing much to expect this week dahil Holy Week...

Yep, done na sa SLEC Ermita. Took me 2 days kasi I reached the place mga 8 AM na. I should've gone 6 AM para naka queue ng maaga (although the start of processing the line is 7 AM pa). Sobrang daming tao that time. Although they still process on a first-come-first-served basis, you can try pre-registering online to spare you the time of filling out their forms. If you'll go to the Ermita clinic, just go straight to the 3F ung desk na malapit sa stairwell ang approach mo for the queue number where you'll be instructed to pay sa 5F. Cashier will be at the right side if you use the elevator. Telling you the exact place to go na kasi sa dami ng desks dun, sayang ung oras na pipila ka just to ask and be re-routed to the other desk.

If I will be using my uncle and parents as sponsors for my visa application, do you think it will be an issue if my uncle is residing in Canada with his family?

He is willing to provide me with food, accommodation and other related expenses during my studies in Canada, while my parents are for the fees and other important expenses..

I read that passport photocopy is needed (front and back) kaya lang I do not have a copy of the back part. Makakalusot ba 'to for the medical exam when thy validate IDs? And I have read about pre-registering online, may nakagawa na ba nito for SLEC Global?
