Yes it was, didn't expect nga din but very happy with the progress. Yours is on its way! :)

Hi zac! May I know which school did you apply to?

Magandang Araw po sa lahat! Am excited to join this forum..and part excited to apply for SP. As of now, I am waiting for LOA from the University. Is it advisable to apply to different schools, but it's quite expensive.! Can anyone recommend any school? Then, inquire na din ako if it is advisable also to already secure POF from banks now kahit wala pang LOA?

That's my question, too. :D I am getting my medical exam done next week. According to my research, though, there were still some who were denied visas after their medical exams. So, I guess it's always not a guarantee.

hi po... i'm currently processing my application for student permit, so far accepted na po ako sa arbutus college for hospitality management, i'm just really worried sa mga papers na needed, specially sa financial? base po kase sa nabasa ko parang isa un sa major factor na they consider for approval... and madame mataas b ang chances for a student permit?

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about starting my journey in applying for a student permit. I started out consulting via an agency but my friend who's based in Canada now advised me na di na daw kailangan ng agency, okay lang daw to apply on your own, just follow the steps lang? Is this true? Is there anyone here who applied on their own and not via agency?

Thanks in advance for the feedback. *fingers crossed* I'll get my student visa din like some of you guys here. Salamat!

I don't see any problem in applying to different schools at the same time, try to back thread with regards to best schools:-) I suggest you wait for the LOA before securing a Bank Certificate.

Hi, I agree with your friend, you can do it on your own, makakatipid ka pa:-) I didn't hire a consultant, I applied for SP, OWP (husband) and SP for my daughter (5yo) last march 14, received our MR last April 10, and we had our ME at SLMC global the following day (April 11). When do you plan to submit your application?

Thank you Ma'am dbc for replying to my post!
I derive motivation from this forum, I am being inspired with success stories after the hardships which I follow in the previous threads. Please do update us with your status applications and experiences. I am just waiting na makarating na ang IELTS ko sa school, then I could start with other documents already. Haysssssttttt :(

hi dbc! I had my ME at SLEC Ermita. I haven't heard any updates pa nga eh, I am wondering din ano ang timelines ng pagsubmit ng results from clinic to CIC. Does anyone here know?

hello star619! wala pa pong updates, ang sabi kasi sa SLEC they will just forward the results of my ME sa CIC pero wala naman sinabing timelines. I have yet to research kung ano ung trend.
I submitted the following on top of the required forms:

Proof of Means of Financial Support: bank certificate, scanned passbooks, pay stubs, employment letter, proof of payment of tuition, tax reports, letter of my aunt saying that I will be staying at their house during the time I'm attending school
Passport or Travel Document: scanned pages of my passport showing all stamps of exit/entry to countries visited, visas (expired and not expired), bio page
Letter of Acceptance from the University. They issued me a Status Letter indicating my status and that I have been accepted for the program and that the status letter was issued for visa application.
Letter of Explanation aka Statement of Purpose as to why I am applying for the Study Permit

ayun lang po ung ni-add ko na mga documents, I am getting anxious everyday nga din eh, although I think nothing much to expect this week dahil Holy Week...

Hi, dbc! thanks for the reply :) Sige, i-try ko muna na ako ang mag-file, kasi mahal din pag may consultant. I'm still looking for schools pa in Ontario, plano ko sana pumasok sa January 2015 intake :)
