Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

@chelz: I think any form of property, whether completely paid or still under mortgage are solid proofs of country ties. Your family too is a country tie. This will prove that you're going back to the Philippines after graduation.

@ultra99: This thread are for Filipinos so we all understand Filipino.

@ultrawaxx: Interview is not compulsory. This can be waived depending on the visa officer. I think they will return the originals with the visa once they mailed the visa to you. That is my experience with other countries.

Hi! I've been following this thread for almost half a month now, but i just registered yesterday.. This site has been very helpful to me, and very inspiring, too..

diba nursing grad ka tapos early childhood devt gusto mo kunin.
course mismatch cguro.

But I know people who took early childhood edu after nursing and got visa approval successfully. One is also from this forum.

That's what I mean to say na sometimes it depends on how strong is your SOP and maybe also depends on VO's mood. I have my Filipino friend and classmate who got visa for early childhood education after nursing last fall intake and the other one is Indian in this forum whose visa was approved for winter 2013 but she applied from India. So we can't predict, also depends on your luck.

for instance in
1. Chelz case
w/ consultant
Nurse with 2 yrs work experience
course applied: Business English 1 year study
submitted Business reg, land title = home ties
bank 1.8m
applied alone, did not include spouse and child = home ties
refused
Probable causes: course mismatch, weak SOP

hi chelz! we have the same situation. got refused with my application. course mismatch and regarding my sponsor - i dont have any proof that the sponsor will provide adequate support to cover mu study.

here is my profile..

6yrs experience in bank, 1year as business analyst. course - strategic relationship marketing program 1yr post diploma
funds- 165k CAD
single
no relatives in canada, family is in the philippines

regarding the 2nd rejection reason about the sponsor, my parents will shoulder my studies. i included my birth certificate in my application so im not sure why would this be the reason.

are you going to apply for caips notes?
are you planning to re-apply? september intake ka rin ba?

im not sure pa for my plan. parang di nako aabot sa september intake.

yes according to my consultant reapply ako/maga-appeal daw kme just like what they did for a kababayan from my hometown. kz dalawa lang daw may check sa refusal letter ko pero yung kababayan ko madami. august start ng class sana pero pwede daw september ang late registration...

sana naman magbago ihip ng hangin...

Wow! $165,000 CAD! That's a large amount of money! But still got refused? It just mean that, its not all about funds funds funds.

magreapply din ako.. but still taking my time.. ayaw ko na mareject uli. Balak ko mag request ng CAIPS notes so I can understand the specific reason kung bakit rejected. balitaan mo ko if may result na yung sayo.

yes! malaki na yung show money ko pero rejected parin. Im not sure kung yung reason ba eh I wasnt able to prove that my parents will shoulder for my expenses. Im just wondering why they said in my rejection letter that my HOST will not adequately support my studies. I indicated in my application that my parents will cover for my studies and also included my birth certificate.

hoping that my visa will be approved kapag nagreapply ako.
