Have you ask st lukes when did they submit your medical? They sometimes submit the documents after a month or so. You should have at least 45 days after medical to inquire about your status. Keep us updated about your status. :D

@ jainafel

Your consultant is the one who should make a follow up regarding your case because you authorized them to act on your behalf.
All news regarding your file will go to your agent, I think you should inquire your AOR at your consultant.

Yeah, he already emailed the embassy. But there seems to be a slower response time if the app was sent via non-PIASI courier.

hello! :)

i want to ask your thoughts regarding healthcare aide and practical nursing

im a registered nurse in asia since 2009. had 2 years hospital experience.

i desire to take up practical nursing program since it has a job opportunity(most likely) but i find healthcare assistant certificate not so expensive plus it's a medical related job. but does it have a career opportunity after graduation? is it worth it?

please i need your advice..thank you very much :)

Hi Jainafel,

Do you have an idea if there are students who got refusal even after medical here in the Philippines?

Hi guys hope you could help me in this matter:

I'm an RN in PH. Unfortunately walang work experience since nung grumaduate ako last 2010 and passed the board last 2011.
Now I'm planning to study in Canada as PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in red deer college. Dapat automotive ako but the program is currently suspended.

Questions:
1. Will I have a hard time to get a visa, since it is not course related? (or should i have a GOOD SOP to pass)
2. Pharmacy technician is a 1-year program and i will be eligible for PGWP, not exceeding the 1-year as to CIC. Question, is it recommended to take a 1-year program? Another question, if the PGWP is to expire what will be my next step?
3. Am I eligible to apply for a PR?

Hope to have some friends here, lol
Planning to apply for winter(January2014)

Thanks!
Paul

hey Paul! we are almost on the same boat! hehe anyway, why did you choose red deer? do you have relatives in alberta? I was looking also at taking Pharmacy technician or a Med Lab Technology diploma. You can email me here at kiodocs08@gmail.com, maybe we can share some thoughts about pursuing careers in Canada.

Not that I know of. Have you had your medical yet?

Hi Guys,

I am also a prospective applicant of Student's Visa. I am about to take my IELTS this 25th of May and will submit the results before 8th of June. I'll be in SIAST - Moose jaw campus, if God's will. For January 2014 intake ako. Course ko is Diploma in Business, Marketing with 3 (terms) paid Co-op - 2 years.

Tanung ko lang sa mga seniors and everyone who might consider answering:

1. Yung kausap ko from the school told me na kung January intake ako ang magiging klase ko is from Jan-mid of July. Syempre ang next term is September-December. Will this mean I'll have 3 semesters in 1 year (winter, summer, fall) tapos sa August lang yung vacation ko? Hindi ba masyado nakakaburyong yung puro ka aral at isang buwan lang bkasyon mo? Paanu pa ako mag papart-time nito? :)

2. I'll not be hypocrite, the main reason naman talaga kaya ako mag student visa is because ito lang yung way for me to become PR. Now, what if may company na gusto ako I-hire while studying, permanently and we never know, paanu ang magiging procedure nun? kelangan ko ba itigil ang pag aaral ko? Kelangan ko ba palitan ang visa ko from student to regular working visa? anu na yung magiging PR pathway ko nun?

3. Also, I have an agency sa Pinas but I'm here in Saudi Arabia working, pwede ba dito ko I-process yung SV application? Anung magiging role nung agency ko sa Pinas kung sakali?

Thank you and I'm really looking forward for answers sa mga tanung na bumabagabag (lalim..hehe) sa akin.

Hi kimmy,

It is not advisable to take healthcareaid program unless you are already in canada. Because the program is not that long, i think only 4-6months depending on what school. If you do a thorough research, only program that is 8-mos above you'll be given a PGWP.

HTH! Still dou your research (:

Answer to your question:
1. If your course is FULL-TIME and have good grades, you can apply for a part time job 20hrs/week, you need to get an off-campus work permit. You can only apply after 6mos of study. Also, be reminded that some institution/college/university don't allow off-campus work

2. In my opinion, i think it's best if you finish your study. Let the masters answer this one.

3. Consultancy/Agency costs, 50-80k processing fee. You can process your application there, since you can do it online, as long as you can provide all the necessary requirements. The role of agency is to process your application. To be honest, kayang kaya mo iprocess yan. But if 80k is a small amount, mag agency ka na lang.

HTH! Still do your research!
