Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

I will apply as soon as I finalize all the reqmts., I received a letter of acceptance from certified general accountants association in BC already. thanks sa info, grabe mas madami pala reqmts dito sa Embassy Manila now ko lang nakita... yung sa main cic website kasi konti lang... your right 1 year tuition + $10,000 kaso need ng bank book and statements for the past 24 months,,, OMG ang tagal namang history nito :'( ... pa-ask naman bf mo if pwede bank statement lang kahit wala na passbook...

Need pa ng Official Fee Schedule at Personal Study Plan. Paki-ask naman ulit bf mo san nya kinuha yung official fee schedule please at baka may format siya nung personal study plan pacopy naman hehe... ayoko kc mg-consultant ang mahal.

Meron din ako kamaganak na mag-sponsor sa kin sa accommodation at meals jan kaso baka one cause for refusal pa daw yun kaya ayoko sana ideclare, totoo kaya yun?

Dont' think having a sponsor in Canada will be a factor for refusal. Just get an affidavit of support from them and make sure it is notarized. Ginawa ko siya in my case and I just did my medical. Hopefully, I'll get my visa. ;D

Siyanga pala, just make sure to attach proof of income documents nung mga sponsor mo to show that they are indeed capable to support you. Have these documents notarized na rin. good luck!

Dont' think having a sponsor in Canada will be a factor for refusal. Just get an affidavit of support from them and make sure it is notarized. Ginawa ko siya in my case and I just did my medical. Hopefully, I'll get my visa. ;D

May sinend kasi sila sa kin pero scanned copy through email lang... please reply...

yung sa akin notarized sa Canada. yung sa akin sinubmit ko yung original copies of the notarized documents. sabihin mo na lang sa kanila to send at wag yung scanned copies lang. I am not so sure if may interview pa ako sana wala na..

tinanong muna niya sa Nationwide Health Services kung na send na yung results sa Canadian Embassy, and from there na siya nagbilang kung ilang days. Sa kanya, june 29 na submit sa embassy. He than received his visa on the 20th of july!!

Yup, dinownload ko lang din sa website yung fee schedule pero make sure na updated yun kasi minsan hindi ata.Nope di ako gumamit ng agency. I submitted my application last week of June got my medical endorsement first week of July. Now hoping and praying to really get my visa.. ;D

Medyo gusto ko pala i-korek yung statement ko na having a sponsor in Canada is not a factor for refusal kasi sabi nga nila the VO also looks for the reason and assurance that you are coming back to the Phils. after the duration of your study. Sa tingin ko having a sponsor could either work for or against your application. It could work for your application in a sense na mapapakita mo na kaya mo talaga i-support yung studies mo but it could also work against your application kasi nga the VO could think na baka di ka na bumalik because your family is already there. But I think, it won't work against your application siguro as long as you can provide enough evidence na babalik ka talaga sa Pinas after your study. In my case kasi, I showed in my application na established na ako sa trabaho dito Pinas. In fact, I was able to secure a letter sa employer ko na may babalikan ako na trabaho after my study. Siguro if you have work experiences na rin sa Pinas pede mo i-mention sa SOP mo or at best, try to secure letter of support sa opisina niyo if your are presently employed. Or sabi rin nila mga documents showing your properties dito sa Pilipinas or if your are already married, then mention na may babalikan ka na family. Kasi nga they are looking at the totality of your application, that is, you can really convince them that you can support your studies and your intent is really to study and that you will leave Canada after the duration of your study.

May businesses ako sa Philippines, plus yung properties ng parents ko. Submit ko nalang yung mga business permits na nakapangalan sakin. Fresh grad kasi ako eh pero 2010 pa ko nag nenegosyo. Congrats in advance to you, and good luck to me!

it took me...9 months and counting after ng medical exam ko for the student permit. i think masyadong matagal na ito para sa SP, parang fsw na ang inapplyan ko ah.

to think i am done with my interview at medicals na ah..9months and counting pa din ang hintayan...mukhang ako lang ata ang ganito ang case eh...usually ang nakikita ko dito sa forum ay mga 3 months after medical maximun na deliver na student permit nila.

i think i hve to personally go to the embssy para tanungin kung anung nangyayari, kasi wala silang binibigay na malinaw na sagot sa email or call support eh.

kung idedeny nila ako for whatever reason, bakit naghihintay pa sila ng 9months ++ after medical exam, kung approved naman bakit pa nila itatago ng ganun katagal papers at passport ko.

super thanks dito sa feedback mo. naisip ko nga din yan e kaso pag ask ako kung san ako titira ayoko naman maglie na magdodorm ako kasi baka it will affect my future application in case di ako magsabi na may relatives ako here... malaking factor nga yung letter of support sa company no, nahiya naman ako humingi ng ganong letter dito, kung sa govt agency sana pwede kasi may indefinite leave dun. pano yung format ng SOP? Baka pwede mo naman ishare, hehe.. then yung sa bank statement nagbigay ka talaga ng 24 months transaction? pano kaya kung bago lang yung account?
