Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Mga boss, magpa-file na ako ng application ko sa VFS on Tuesday, October 2, paper based, SDS.

Questions lang po:

1. Ang babayaran lang ay "Study Permit" (CAD$150)? Hindi na kasama ang "Temporary Resident Permit" (CAD$200)?
2. Babayaran muna yung mga fees bago pumunta sa VFS?
3. Kailangan ko pa ba mag fill up ng "Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union" kung married kami ng wife ko at naka attach naman ang marriage contract namin na authenticated ng NSO?
4. Ang passport ay kasama sa isa-submit or scanned copy lang muna?
5. Ang NBI original copy ang isa-submit or pwedeng photocopy lang?
6. All COEs/Transcripts etc., need po ba na notarized yung copy na isa-submit? IELTS result original po ba or pwede photocopy lang?

My niece is in Saudi. She wants to enroll under Student direct stream. How can she apply in the Philippines while she is in Saudi?

Actually, I read backwards na dito sa thread hoping that same question has already been asked and answered but there are 800 plus pages na ....so, hope you understand.

Ako po online application thru SDS. Goodluck po sa mga waiting for approval.

21 Sept. Jnr1201. You mentioned that you applied online. kasi I read this in one of the sites I visited " if you are a citizen of the Philippines and you want to apply for a study permit through SDS, you must submit your application in hard-copy, by mail, to the Manila Visa Office!" . Paki clear lang po.

Hello, it’s better po kung hingi kayo ng advice sa immigration consultant kasi mas extensive po ung knowledge nila about sa situation nyo at ma-guide kayo sa anong dapat nyong gawin. Plan nyo po ba mag-apply sa Phils? Yung sakin po kasi, working po ako sa Sg at nag-apply sa Sg but got refused. So ang advice po ng consultant sakin is to re-apply sa Phils either regular stream or SDS pero nag SDS po ako. Wala din po akong properties pero fully paid po ang 1yr tuition ko at may GIC cert po ako from Scotiabank. Na-guide po ako ng tama ng consultant ko at nagsubmit ng proper documents needed for SDS application. Below is my timeline po.

Feb 9 - submitted application in school
March 12 - received my LOA
May 3 - applied SP in Singapore under regular stream
June 8 - received my refusal
June 23 - went home to the Phils
June 26 - purchased GIC and got it after 1wk
July 13 - online application was submitted thru SDS
August 10 - approval

Jnr1201 Ako po ulit. You mentioned na you are in Singapore. You applied online. Hindi po ba required ang passport pag mag apply sa VFS? Kasi po ang niece ko nasa Saudi. Malaking tulong po if you can tell me how exactly you did it from Sg. maraming salamat po in advance.

sa pagkakaintindi ko po, if you want to apply thru sds, kailangan nasa home country ka po.

If you live in another country (even if you’re a citizen of one of the countries above), you have to apply through the regular study permit application process.

As part of the required documents, he surely included his passport. Ibig sabihin, okay lang ba na wala ang passport nya sa kanya while still in Sq? I really hope, hope, hpe that Jnr1201 would soon see our conversation and response so that I can be cleared of what to tell my niece. She's hoping to enroll for Jan. 2019 intake.
