as per SDS guidelines, provide 1 year full payment of tuition and 10k GIC from Scotia Bank plus Academic IELTS of 6.0 in all subtest. it would be better to have additional funds to cover other miscellanous fees. pwede isama yung spouse or partner at may additional funds to show for accompanying partner (4k CAD).

I was planning to apply via SDS for student permit with accompany dependent, my daughter, at VFS Manila. Someone told me today na di daw pwede SDS kapag may accompanying dependent? Dapat daw online application? Can anyone confirm? I tried googling pero wala eh.

is this really true? kc plan k rin apply same program with dependents din sana.

I think police certificate/nbi clearance are one of the initial documents needed when you submit your application.

yes pwede naman po isama ang dependents. as long as you have provided enough funds, each accompanying dependents have corresponding 'budget' and you have to explain sa statement of purpose mo why they are coming with you. remember applying for student visa means that you will go back to Philippines after ng studies.

if you are in the Philippines, NBI clearance yan. not unless you are in abroad, you will ask for police clearance from your current country.

SDS is paper based application. Pwede magsama ng accompanying dependent. others were approved thru SDS, Study Permit (Student) + Open Work Permit (spouse) + TRV or SP (Children). pag may kasamang dependent, medyo risky lang. just in case ma-denied kayo, malaki ang nasayang na gastos, kaya yung iba is apply muna solo tapos pag may Study Permit, saka pinag aapply yung spouse and children.

Thank u @markmo for replying. So in case po together kmi apply, GIC of main applicant + 1yr tuition ang bayad. Tpos present bank statement for spouse and dependents? Or pwede pong mag invest ng dlawang GIC pag isasama ang family sa iisang application thru SDS?

Police check is a standard procedure along with medical exam kaya dapat bago ka maglodge ng application mas maganda may upfront medical ka na at NBI clearance para less hold ng application mo

After 5 weeks my study visa has been approved! I just wanted to know if anyone knows how long it would take to pick up my passport? I will submit and pick up my passport in person at VFS Manila. Thank you.

sa SDS kasi GIC plus 1 year tuition and IELTS pa ha. better siguro to provide a bank statement covering the family rather than creating another gic.. i'm not sure but may limit kasi ang gic like $650/month ang pwede i-withdraw.. ang gic is for students lang.. for sure may other options naman ang scotia bank if you need to open an account different from gic..
