Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Basa basa lang po kayo dito. Mas importante po is you learn from others based on their experience what mistakes to avoid and the rest are pretty much self explanatory na po via the cic website. Basta po pag nandito na kayo wag po kayo biglang maging suplada/suplado sa kapwa pinoy. Pansin ko kasi yung iba nakatapak lang dito ang yabang na. Alam na alam mo pinoy dahil sa heavy accent pero di ka pa din papansinin. Buti pa yung mga senior citizen and retired, lagi masaya pag may nakakausap na pinoy

Also, be ready for a ultra competitive environment when finding a job. Mababait sila pero work is different po. They expect you to know otherwise yari ka. Yung po constant reminder ko to backread is good training para masanay na ang mga aspiring students po kasi dito, they expect you to do your research before you ask, otherwise, you may lose your job on the spot. This is for my field and experience. Ewan ko lang po sa iba

To end this on a positive note, a personal example to show na mabait sila is nung bago pa lang, kami, umaambon and walang bubong yung bus stop. May babae na tumigil and inabutan ng payong sila missis and anak namin

Hey... no worries, i dont mind at all...I'll be taking health care assistant (it's a 1year course for some pero sakin 8 months lng)... it's in Melfort, Saskatchewan... totally ndi cya related sa current job ko (I'm on this banking industry just for 1 year)... I opted for a health care assistant because I really wanted to be in a healthcare industry.... ung banking and finance na current job ko is pirated ako kaya na-grab ko (salary wise)... plus since RN ako dito sa Pinas... I have tons of avenues kung gusto ko pa mag pursue ng Nursing or at least LPN in Canada... ndi madali at magastos cya pero it's another option for me...

Dito sa calgary, bow valley college, 4mos lang ang full time Health Care Aide and 1yr if part time. Tapos puwede siya idiretso sa LPN.

Or bakit di ka nalang kumuha ng parang bridging program tutal RN ka naman kamo. Sa bow valley college meron silang Practical Nurse Diploma: Internationally Educated Nurses pathway or sa ibang college/univ na nagooffer ng parang ganun din

sure... ung SOP ko is 3 pages in paragraph form... stated my educational background... travel history... financial capability and the likes..... pero on my second and third page... dun ko na nilagay ung mga mga answers ko sa mga questions na... 1. Why do i have to study in Canada 2. Why Canada 3. What will I gain after my study 4. Why will I leave Canada after my study 5. What job opportunities for me in the Philippines after my study in Canada.

Just answer those questions... your answers should convince you in order to convince the VO... btw, my current job may not be related in my course na kukunin ko pero graduate ako ng nurse and my trainings ako sa st. lukes, philippine red cross and other activites related sa healthcare kaya i guess nakatulong cya sa application ko...

IEN offered to me ng university sa saskatchewan is super expensive... I can't afford it... been to Canada last 2012 for assessment for free (got an invitation from them) and they asked me to undergo the bridging program pero super expensive.. kaya in the meantime, healthcare assistant nlng ang kinuha ko..

@uzumakinaruto ahhh oo nga pwedeng pwede ka pala tlaga bumalik, 1 year ka lang pala out of practice. Sa case ko kasi, 6 years ago and 6 months lang yun experience ko as Nurse, planning to go back din sa Nursing field once settled na sa Canada. Nako recommend ako sayo group un Pinoy IENs for Canadian Registration (A support group for Filipino Nurses), maraming options para sa Nurses, pwede ka mag HCA bridge to LPN, pwede ka din mag pa assess ng credentials mo sa NNAS then sila mag sabi sayo if pwede ka mag CPNRE or NCLEX malay mo comparable yun result mo, and struggle lang din e ang mahal ng tuition fee at super waiting list yun ibang schools. So i suggest if you are planning to pursue HCA to LPN, tingin ka na ng schools.

Pati yung pnprocess pa lang namin na business magstart pa lang (bayad center, travel agency and grocery store) lahat family business, sinama ko na rin ibang docs na available.
Ang kinuha kong course, Hospitality Management sa Solomon college para dun sa accommodation namin sa caramoan para mas lalong ma-manage siya ng maigi. Graduate ako ng BS Tourism. Ewan ko ba. Nakakatamad tuloy magtrabaho or kumilos ngayon araw hahahaha ang sakit mareject eh

@malcomwrex Nabasa ko toh sa previous page, nabanggit yun Employment prospects sakanya, bukod sa Businesses mo anu pa binanggit pa ties may anak ka na ba sa pinas pwede din naisip nila Hospitality management is not a specialized program kasi marami na nag offer nun sa pinas. Better request for CAIPS, detelyado mu talaga mlalaman kung bakit ka narefused para ma address mo un pag nag re-apply ka.

Study plan seen. Unclear why PA is taking program at this time or why a similar program would not have been pursued until this time locally or regionally at less cost and higher convenience given the costs. While PA presents related educ (Biz Admin, 2002), it is unclear how program of study is relevant to PA's declared work experience (customer service rep). I note PA has not had any further educ taken since 2002. Presents weak econ ties to the home country, to compel departure from Canada after a period of stay. Appl refused.
