Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hello guys!
Anyone of you just lodge an application like me? I'm going for May 2017 intake at Niagara College. Applied on Feb 23 at vfs cebu and and got my medicals done yesterday. Hopefully they will pass it soon nah. Kinakabahan lang Praying to God we all can get thru this successfully!

Thank you trxter41. Meron po kasing invoice na naka-attach sa LOA ko pero due last Feb28, kaso ang nakalagay po dun is to have a valid visa daw before magproceed sa payment.

Actually, iniadvise po ako ng consultant ko to personally submit the originals to Vfs manila pra mas mabilis daw po ang result since meron na din po akong upfront medical exam. Mas mabilis po ba tlga compare sa online ang physical submission?

Isa pa pong concern ko is, I work previously po in Qatar and Singapore, wala pa po akong police clearance since need po ng letter of request daw from Canadian Embassy na nrerequire ako to provide before ako makakuha ng clearance. Complete na naman po ang requirements ko and waiting nlng ako dun sa letter na un from embassy.. Tama po ba ang pagkakaintindi ko po na "to follow documents na lang po to incase irequire ng VO?

Ganun sabi ng instructor namin. Kung busy ang visa center sa manila baka ibigay ito sa visa center sa singapore since online at para di mabacklog yung visa sa manila. Siguro advantage lang ng mga nasa VFS is that they really check your documents. If you have no idea how to file application properly and DID NOT MADE ANY EFFORT OR ENOUGH RESEARCH what documents to submit then this is the place for you. You are basically paying them to check the completeness of your application.
May mga bansang nagbibigay ng police clearance kapag hiningi pero meron rin nagrerequire ng sulat from Canada. Mas mabilis kung magproprovide ka na pero kung required letter edi maghintay. Pero most definitely if after 18yrs old mo nag more than 6 months ka sa ibang bansa hihingan ka ng police clearance from that country. Yes, to follow documents na lang yun.

Pero pngprovide naman din po ako ng job offer letter sa akong pagbabalik after the study sa canada and job prospects etc na conmect naman po sa course ko.. ok lng kaya un?

may consultant po pala kayo. i did my application online, so i can only speak about my own experience. pero considering that everything is faster over the internet, i would assume that an online application would be faster than a paper based one done through VFS global.

isa rin advantage nun is malalaman mo na right away kung ano mga documents na kailangan mo, and i am thinking na you might want to start getting the police clearance from the countries where you worked kasi kakailanganin mo yan in case mag apply ka for permanent residence

Sobra kaba ko nung late ko na nabasa itong forum na to kase I thought I missed a lot of important notes like SOP. Wala kase ako nasubmit na ganun.. Yung email po ba na ngrerequest ng passport ko is a sign na they will approve my SV? And how do i send them my passport if email or personal? May fee ba babayaran and what is the mode of payment?? @ jfider, For Singapore COC (Certificate of clearance at least 6months work or stay). If dito ka sa Singapore mabilis lng pro depende sa appointment ng finger printing mo at collection that day. Hope this helps to speed up getting your police clearance.

1. Apply for Certificate of Clearance Appeal online and wait for email and sms that your appeal has been approved. http://www.police.gov.sg/e-services/apply/certificate-of-clearance/appeal-by-non-singapore-citizens. No need to wait for a letter from CIC just attach your LOA from school and explain that COC is required to facilitate your visa application. LOA is acceptable as this a letter from your education institution.
2. Once approved refer to the email sent by SPF for Certificate of Clearance webpage http://www.police.gov.sg/e-services/apply/certificate-of-clearance/book-a-fingerprinting-appointment to book for an appointment to have your fingerprints taken. You need to be personally present to do the fingerprinting and collection that day. If you are overseas there are steps but may take some time since you are sending your fingerprints from overseas. Hay. Napaisip po tuloy ako. Ipinipilit kasi ng agency ko na ipersonal ko na lang dahil mas mabilis. May upfront medical exam na po ako at ok na rn lahat ng requirements.. sabi po kasi nla, may file size limit daw tapos medyo hassle pag passport request.. aywan ko nga baga ho duon sa aking agency na iun. Pero sige po, sa pakiramdam ko din po ksi mas mabilis na sa online based sa mga nababasa ko..

Naipadala ko na po sa Qatar yung mga documents ko incase magrrequest po ng police clearance.. nakumpleto ko na po ang sangkatutak nilang requirements makakuha lng ng police clearance.. so incase po na irequire ako eh aabot naman po..

Yung PC ko po sa SG is magrerequire ng letter from embassy pero all the requirements po eh nprepare ko na.. waiting na lng po sa request letter ng Canadian Embassy..

Hi Nivs! Really? Sige2.. since naprepade ko na lahat ng requirements na need eh magrregister na ko for appeal.. nprepare yung mga requirements like fingerprint authenticated by DFA etc.. sobrang salamat sa advice.. Godbless!

Hello po! I did my medicals 2 days after they requested me to do so. My status? still no update Wala pang nakasabing passed na yung results ng meds ko. Althought when I went there to get it done, sabi naman ng doc normal results. I hope and pray they will send it na. Hehe God bless us and I hope mabilis ang results natin

Congrats in getting your visa!

Here is an example of someone who pass without an SOP.
If the visa officer finds enough evidence that you are a genuine student then things will be fast.
You must have a very strong case.
