Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

as far as I know hindi sila nagiinterview for student visa they denied right away
SOP is your explanation at susubmit mo siya kasama ng mga documents mo

yung SOP pala ay kagaya ng Letter of Explanation na ginawa ko noon. Nainterview po ba kayo nun? Kasi ako hindi na ko ininterview. case to case basis nga siguro.

Nagsubmit na po ako ng online application kaninang umaga. Ngayong hapon ko lang nadiscover ang thread na ito. :'(

Nagbabackread ako. Sa mga nababasa ko, medyo kinakabahan tuloy ako sa mga pinagsusulat ko sa letter of explanation / study plan ko. Anyways, andun na e. Hope for the best nalang. Pray, pray and pray some more.

Btw, I've been accepted sa Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario for fall 2017 intake. I am applying from UAE and according to cic website, 8 weeks ang fastest possible processing time ng applications mula sa location ko.

Congrats po sa mga na-approve na and good luck sa mga kapwa kong nagaaply palang. Looking foward na makakuha ng tips dito and makatulong din kung sakali.

hindi pa po kami kasal ng fiance ko. we're planning to get married this march or april and then apply for SP and OWP. meron na po sya LOA from Bow Valley College. and yung proof of funds is from her father. i am currently working here in abu dhabi pero yung fiance ko is still searching for a job since ngresign po sya sa work nya. sya po yung main applicant and i am the dependent. ask ko lang po if hndi maquestion yung pgpapakasal namin apply agad ng SP and OWP?

Wala pa news. anyway, kung pagbabasehan ang timeline ng iba, baka sa april pa ako makareceive ng next update from cic. hindi po ako ng upfront medical kasi mahigit 1 year na akong di lumabas ng UAE. pero they will advice naman if i do need one. goodluck din po sa application nyo. sana lahat tayo dito ma-approve.

Fiance is not a member of the family class so hindi ka niya pwedeng makuha as a fiance. Hindi ka depdendant kasi hindi ka niya anak. Kapag magpakasal kayo pwede ka niya isama sa application as a spouse. if wala siyang work pano niya mapapatunayan na may employment siya paguwi sa pinas after ng course niya? To convince the visa officer yung employment, previour study and course na kukunin mo linked together.

hindi naman yun maququestion as long as may marriage certificate kayo. yun lang naman proof na kailangan, regardless kung 10 years na kayong kasal or 10 days pa lang kayong kasal.

mag apply po kayo ng student visa after niyo makuha marriage certificate niyo from NSO.

Hi! I just want to ask for opinions sa pagkuha ng student visa. Lalo na sa proof of funds hehe. I applied for a 2-year diploma program (Business Administration major in Financial Services) in Red Deer College. As of now, inaantay ko pa yung letter of acceptance (last week lang nasubmit yung application ko). I have a cousin living there. Siya nagsubmit ng application.

Education: Business Economics (cum laude) graduate from UP -- I graduated 2015

Employment History: I've been working as an Analyst in Finance for 1.6 years in an international bank (german bank which has an office here in Manila)

Proof of funds: My aunt who is working in US will sponsor my education and living expenses sa canada. She's a green card holder naman. We will pass affidavit of support, her bank statement, and a photocopy of her green card. And she will transfer na the amount of my tuition fee (CAD$ 12500) to my personal account before I apply.
Then I'm planning to also show my bank statement. Maliit lang po laman ng account ko currently. Then idedeclare ko yung ittransfer ng tita ko na yun yung initial na money na ibibigay niya sakin. Para makapag paenroll once i got the student visa.
Then gagawa din ng affidavit yung cousin ko na sakanya ako titira on my stay sa Canada.

**Sorry po for the long post. I'm just really worried on how I can get my visa approved. I'm mostly worried dun sa proof of funds. Hope you guys can give suggestions or comments THANK YOU!!

Long post means more details which will enable us to help you more. Good job on that.

The issue with proof of funds.

You are required to show the 4 months bank statement. Kung nasa kanya naman ipapakita nya yung bank accoung niya na may laman na $25,000.
Kung ipapasa man sayo sana do it sooner para may lamang $25,000 ang account mo.
Basta makita lang na meron kayong funds kasi at the port of entry tatanungin ka kung nasan yung pang tuition mo. Kung nabayaran mo na yung tuition mo bago ka lumipad pakita mo yugn official receipt ng school if not pakita mo na dala mo.

Another issue na pwede lumabas at kailangan mo sabihin sa SOP (statement of purpose) is kung bat ka walang travel history tapos isingit mo lang ang lines na "I did not break any immigration law nor have any intention to do so in the future".
Another is you have 1yr experience and tingin nila its not long enough so if possible makahingi ka sa higher ups niyo ng certification or agreement na after ng 2 yrs course mo uuwi ka at bibigyan ka ng position ng company. Mga visa officer kasi alam naman nila na possible ka mag stay ang become a good citizen of the country kaso what if di ka pinalad na makahanap ng trabaho. Hindi maging successful yung journey mo at imbes na umuwi ehh mag TNT (Tago ng tago) and break laws. So kung makita nilang may trabaho kang uuwian di sila worried na mag TNT ka.
