Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Meron po ba ditong nag apply for SP without showing the full $10k CAD for living expenses? For instance, tuition fee plus additional money for expenses (but not the entire $10k as recommended, sabihin na nating half) and then attached letters/ documents from relatives in Canada who declare that they'll let you stay with them (so, no need for rent and food)? If you go to a public school din kasi, you'll have access to U-Pass monthly so you have your transportation covered na. Of course, the ideal situation is to show the full amount recommended but I was just exploring options, in case I really can't some up with the full amount. I have 3-4 families who are willing to write letters of support for me, as well as show documents proving capacity to support, and one of them will offer me a place to stay.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did it work out for you?

Kapag kumuha ka ng letter of support from them na nagsasabing tutulungan ka nila parang liable na sila sayo so sila yung kailangan magpapakita na kaya ka nilang supportahan. If pagaari nila yung bahay need nila pakita titulo ng bahay or something. Kailangan rin nila pakita income tax return nila and other supporting documents na nagsasabing kaya ka nila alagaan sa Canada. Lagay mo sa SOP mo na although I don't have the full amount, (this person) will provide accomodation for me. Tapos yung mag susupport sayo papadalhan ka ng affidavit of support na nilagdaan sa harapan ng lawyer or notary public.

Paano mo po maipapakita na financially stable ka at kaya mong bayaran tuition mo for the whole program mo? Ano ano po ipapakita mong financial support mo? How can you prove na you can pay for your tuition and expenses without working? Dahil priority mo is to study not to work. How can you prove na uuwi ka after ng program mo or if hindi mo natapos program mo? Think like VO po, then think how you can counter those questions.

Some schools (like SAIT they dont require EILTS kung kaya mo patunayan na english ang medium of instruction ng sa collage mo) does not requires EILTS some does so check with them. Yang mga subject na yan kailangan meron ka niyan at ang school ang mag eevaluate niyan

Thank you for your input All of them are willing to provide financial statements like source of income, properties, bank statements and other documents that may be required. Matagal na rin po kasi sila doon kaya medyo settled na sa mga buhay nila. They were also my sponsors during my previous visits to Canada, they've always sent a letter of invitation along with a guarantee that they'll take care of my living expenses while there. Salamat po sa payo. I will take note of having the documents notarized.

I appreciate the feedback, thank you! My dad is sponsoring my studies. He can provide the financial statements of his current business that will prove that he can afford to pay for my tuition fee. I already have a chunk of the money in my account, but not the full amount yet, most of which came from my dad plus some of my savings. Doon po sa papales ng daddy ko, ipapakita po namin na meron akong pambayad sa buong tuition fee, kukulangin lang sa living expenses kasi hanggang doon pa lang ang naiipon namin. I understand what you're saying that I should think like a VO and I agree that I have to prove that I will leave in case I don't finish my studies. I'm hoping that my travel history will help with that since I have been to Canada a few times and always leave within the appropriate time frame thus, I hope it proves that I have never broken any immigration laws and don't intend to start to. I will take your advice in to consideration. Thank you!

Tomorrow is the day, i will have my ielts results, then i will proceed submitting my application to George Brown College in Toronto.I am currently in UAE, working in a canadian company base in Dubai."Guys i have funds like 2M php, i have my own house in philippines but still hinuhulugan ko pa sya,i am single, graduated 2 yrs information technology in Philippines last 2010 and i am 28 yrs old now i am not a bachelors degree dati kc sobrang nagmamadali ako mg work kaya maiksi lang inaral ko.Since IT ang tinapos ko i am planning to study related to my previous study.By the way ang work ko dito sa company ko is document controller/ secretary sa architectural firm (Consultant) 3 yrs n ako dito.And yung Director namin is from TORONTO he is very willing to help me throughout, like providing letter na sa bahay nila ako stay while i am studying since ung girl lang nya na anak ang nakatira doon now kc lahat cla andito sa UAE.Also he will state din sa letter na after ko mag graduate ng Computer Networking and Technical Support or Computer Programmer company wants me to hire sa main office in Toronto since my director will be assign nadin sa Canada branch next year at "Guys i need your viewpoint and advice in my situation kung ano pa ang pwede ko gawin to make my application stronger malaki ba ang chance na ma approved ako or mas malaki ang chance na ma reject."baka kc guys sabhn ng VO na ang mahal naman ng pag aaral mo dito pa sa canada, ang saken naman malaking kaibahan pag may dipolma ka from canada since ihire naman ako ng previous company ko.Guys please any comments sobra malaking tulong.

Sa "fund to support myself" section you are good and covered. Sa "ties to home country" malakas laban mo kasi family mo is nasa pinas.
Pero hindi lang iyan ang mga factor to consider you a genuine student. Your current work must match the course you will take and your previous education.

Tingin ko isa ka sa pinakamay mataas na chance na pumasa as an international student. P2m is enough to cover your expenses for 1yr and that's all that is required. 2 yrs of college makes you a grade 12 hs graduate here which is the minimum requirement for education, so you are good with that. Since hindi ka tapos ng IT magandang topic yan sa SOP na ang kukunin mong course is related sa work mo ngayon at previous course mo. This one is the one that pretty much seal the deal, the letter from your boss. If your boss is willing sabihin mo sa sulat na tatangapin ka rin niya diyan sa branch sa UAE at hindi lang sa toronto. So tatangapin ka anywhere, wherether in UAE or Toronto. You need an LMIA to work in Canada after your post grad work permit.

ayun dun ako bagsak sa current work, prev education and course that I plan to take sa Canada. Plan ko kasi ibang course kunin ko para at least after graduation dalawa choices kong job sa paghahanap ng work. Galingan ko na lang sa SOP. Salamat. +1 for you

It's nice to have a very supportive boss! Pansin ko ang mga nahihirapan mag apply is mga nurse sa atin and mga single women (just basing it from people who talk to me and experienced rejection) but being financially stable and having properties back home is a good plus. Just make sure you justify why you chose Canada and what are your plans after graduation kasi usually ang mga na de deny is due to:
1. lack of travel experience
2. employment in home country after studying (might be a different case for you)
3. funds
4. ties back home (because the goal is to study, improve yourself and go home and reap the rewards of your study)
